Sheraton Kunming Hotel Overall, this experience was really great, and I felt that the points redemption offered excellent value. Location: Located at F3, Kunming Fukangcheng Shopping Center, 206 Longhui Road, Guandu District. Check-in Experience: 1. The hotel manager called me the day before check-in to ask what room type I would like to upgrade to. I could choose between an executive suite or a family room. Although I often stay at Marriott hotels, such greetings are rare, so it left a very good first impression. 2. The location is a bit remote, and it's not very convenient to take the subway or bus. Taking a taxi from the train station takes about 20 minutes without traffic. Driving here is also a viable option. 3. The check-in process was very smooth, and the hotel directly helped me with a 4pm late check-out. I chose to use points for my stay, which was equivalent to 9k points. The hotel also gave me a large plate of fruit, but no cutlery. 4. The hotel doesn't seem to have been open for too long, and the lobby and room decor are modern. 5. The curtains, toilet, and other amenities in the room are smart devices, and the decoration style also incorporates some traditional elements. 6. Perhaps because I upgraded to the executive suite, there was a large Chinese-style table and chairs, along with a small sofa. This style is quite unique. 7. During check-in, the front desk informed me that there was a tour group having breakfast on the first floor, which might affect the breakfast experience, and suggested having breakfast in the lounge. I thought this was a good suggestion. 8. The lounge is on the 29th floor and offers a wide view, although there isn't any particularly special scenery. The food basically met my needs, and the receptionist and several waiters were very friendly. 9. The lounge only offers coffee and small biscuits in the afternoon. I heard there's a happy hour in the evening, but I didn't experience it.
