The lighthouse is an octagonal white brick structure with an octagonal body that transitions to a cylindrical top, and there is a Western-style white wall office in front of the tower. Located at the highest point of Qijin, the Kaohsiung Lighthouse overlooks the coast, offering visitors a view of the beautiful sunset. There is a cafe inside where visitors can enjoy an afternoon. Cihou Fort (also known as Cihou Battery) is situated on Cihou Mountain at the northernmost end of Qijin. The fort features a Sino-Western design with red brick construction and is inlaid with many traditional patterns such as the auspicious 'double happiness' character and bats. The area is divided into a drill ground, artillery zone, and command area. The site is open 24 hours a day, and visitors often tour it together with the Kaohsiung Lighthouse.
