Wei Hang Ancient Road

In ancient times, this was the must-pass route for Huizhou merchants to trade salt, tea, and mountain goods, which can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty. It is the third famous ancient road in China after the Silk Road and the Tea Horse Road. This has become a popular route for beginner hikers, but the hidden scenery is not simple. This is an ancient road listed as a national tourist area and a key cultural relics protection unit in the country. Coming to the "First Pass of Jiangnan" in the east of Fuling Town, there is a Yan Kou Pavilion under the pass, leaning on the mountain and near the water, with the inscription "Crossing Jiangsu and Zhejiang". After the pavilion, the peak rock comes into view, which is spectacular. There are 1400 steps on the edge of the cliff, which is also the most difficult part of this route. Rest in Huang Mao Pei Village in the middle of the ancient road, you can feel the atmosphere of the ancient village. If you want to camp, you can continue east to Blue Sky Ao, which is 1060 meters above sea level and suitable for stopping and overlooking. However, it should be noted that along the ancient road from Huizhou to Hangzhou, there are more uphill, relatively speaking, the two peaks are concave, with blue sky and white clouds inlaid in it, hence the name. The view of Blue Sky Ao is wide and relatively tired. You can also choose to "walk backwards" from Lin'an, and there are many exits along the way to leave. Walking on this ancient road, you can feel the weight of history and the beauty of nature.
