Sangling Village, Jianchuan｜A Century-Old Ancient Forest Looks Like a Spilled Palette of Colors

Location: Sangling Village, Jianchuan, Dali Sangling Village is an ancient Bai ethnic village hidden on the eastern foothills of Jianchuan. Backed by green mountains and facing Jian Lake, the village holds a thousand years of history in its everyday life. The "Sangling Ancient Trees" are known as one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Jianyang." In autumn, the ancient forest uses the most intense colors to express the brilliance and tranquility of life. Clusters of chestnut trees, yellowwood, and sweetgum trees gather together. The trees are often two to three hundred years old, with the oldest tree being 710 years old. Leaves change from tender yellow to caramel orange, then to blazing red🔥. Dappled light filters through the forest, and looking up, the blue sky contrasts with the colorful trees. Although it hasn't reached the peak period of full "burning" colors, the blend and transition of yellow, green, orange, and red are also very pleasing to the eye! Some trees are half green and half yellow, showing a subtle gradient. Others are fully red on the branches, shining especially brightly against the blue background.
