Liujiang Ancient Town

Liujiang Town, under the jurisdiction of Hongya County, Meishan City, Sichuan Province, is located in the southwest of Hongya County. It borders Huaxi Town and Taoyuan Township to the east, Gaomiao Town to the south, Yanqiao Town and Yanchang Town of Ya'an City's Yucheng District to the west, and Wawushan Town to the north. The area covers 225.2 square kilometers. In 1949, it was Liujiang Town; in 1983, it was renamed Liujiang Town; in 2005, Zhaohe Township was merged into Liujiang Town. In 2019, Huaxi Town was abolished, and its administrative region was placed under the jurisdiction of Liujiang Town. By the end of 2019, Liujiang Town had a total population of 38,100. As of June 2020, Liujiang Town governs 2 communities and 7 administrative villages, with the town people's government located at No. 19, North Yujing Street, Liujiang.
