The Red Church is the most famous landmark in Saigon, and it is particularly conspicuous because of the red brick walls. It is a red brick building built at the end of the 19th century, officially known as the Church of the Virgin Mary. It is well-proportioned and majestic. The two towers are 40 meters high and go straight into the sky, modeled after the bell tower of Notre Dame. The red bricks that built the church were all shipped from France. A four-ton statue of the Virgin Mary on the garden square in front of the church was given by the Roman Church in 1945. It is said that every Christmas Eve, beautiful lights shine on the darkness, and the hymns of hymns linger all night.
