Kochia at Hitachi Seaside Park

You can visit this 200 hectare Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Prefecture in all seasons. It is home to a variety of flowers that bloom throughout the year. Particularly popular are the fields of densely blooming Nemophila (baby blue eyes) in the spring and the kochia (summer cypress), which turn from green to bright red in the fall. You can enjoy exploring the park on a cycling course (rental bicycles available) or on the cute Seaside Train.
