Historical background The predecessor of the Liwan Museum was the old residence of Mr. Chen Lianzhong, the buyer of the Guangzhou HSBC Bank. The architectural style of the museum is unique, full of Western classical atmosphere, combining the characteristics of Chinese courtyard and Western architecture. Introduction to architectural style and exhibition area The first exhibition area: located in Chen Lianzhong's old residence, it displays local characteristic cultural relics and temporary exhibitions. The second exhibition area: With the restored Xiguan Mansion as the main building, the life pattern and cultural landscape of the traditional Xiguan Mansion are reproduced through home furnishings and scene displays. The third exhibition area: Jiang Guangnai's former residence, showing the life of the general Jiang Guangnai and the historical sites in Liwan District. The fourth exhibition area: Chen Lianbo's old residence, showing the style of Guangzhou merchants, the architectural style is magnificent, suitable for taking pictures. Visit information The Liwan Museum is open all year round, from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00-17:30, and closed on Mondays.The ticket price is 5 yuan, and it is free for the elderly and children over the age of 65. There are Liwan Lake Park and Panxi Wuyo near the museum, where visitors can enjoy the combination of history and nature.
