Ecuador's volcano has been in a continuous state of activity.

Cotopaxi Volcano, a famous tourist attraction in Ecuador, has an altitude of 5897 meters and is covered in snow all year round at its peak, attracting many climbers. Due to its massive size and proximity to densely populated towns, it is considered the most dangerous active volcano in Ecuador. Cotopaxi volcano had its last complete eruption from August 2015 to January 2016, lasting for five months. In October 2022, the volcano's activity significantly increased, and the Ecuadorian government declared it on "yellow alert." In December of the same year, the Ecuadorian Geophysical Institute detected that Cotopaxi volcano had started to erupt. Currently, the national park where the volcano is located remains closed, and the crater continues to emit smoke, which is very spectacular.
