Shiyan Taiji Gorge Scenic Area, also known as Taiji Gorge, is a comprehensive tourist attraction that combines sightseeing, leisure, health, scientific research, and adventure. It is located in Shigu Town, Danjiangkou City, Hubei Province, near the Danjiangkou Reservoir, the source of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. The scenic area is famous for its Danxia landform, karst caves, and rich geological relics. It is a new gateway for water tourism in the central and western regions and one of the most distinctive tourist destinations in northwest Hubei. 📍Main attractions ✅Danxia Landform Scenic Area: The Danxia landform here is recognized by professors from Wuhan University and China University of Geosciences as the largest, most diverse, and most scenic geological relic north of the Yangtze River and in Hubei Province. It is known as a natural geological museum. ✅Taiji Gorge Scenery: Taiji Gorge is named after the east-west facing Qinglong Mountain and Huanglong Mountain, which form a gorge, creating a winding canyon. Visitors can enjoy the grandeur of the north and the elegance of the south. ✅Glass Bridge and Thrilling Glass Bridge: These offer an exciting walking experience, with the bridge deck about 50 meters above the valley floor, making it feel like walking on air. ✅Glass Slide: Located in the canyon below Danxia Lake, it is about 500 meters long.
