Although it's the most basic of the hotel, some hotels really don't give such a good first impression upon entering, maybe it's the style. The Chinese style is the unchanging source of a warm feeling. The accompanying amenities include Chaozhou's single bush tea and tea set. Noteworthy is that normal hotels provide 2 bottles of water, but this one provides 4. Although you can ask for more at other hotels, being proactive rather than reactive feels respectful👍. I appreciate the attention to detail, like the poison gas masks having dust bags, which is aesthetically pleasing🤩. The next morning came with breakfast included. Normally I don't get up early, but I still got up for the freebies. Standard fare, but still very characteristic of Chaozhou. Don't miss the fried kway teow, because each place makes it differently. If you get up late, a friend recommended a kway teow soup noodle shop in the alley under the hotel that has been around for over 20 years and has been featured on TV. You can ask the front desk about it. The important reason for the recommendation is not just to go to Paifang Street, but to blend into the local food and slow life in the city center. Of course, the hotel is very close to Paifang Street, and you can even find a shared bike nearby to go to Xihu Park. Then walk into Zhongshan Road, slowly strolling to Zhenhai Tower, feeling very good through the streets and alleys.
