[Kumamoto] Aso Shrine, one of Japan's three great gate towers.

Aso Shrine ⁡ Ichinomiya-machi, Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture 3 minutes by car, 19 minutes on foot from JR Miyaji Station ⁡ I've traveled to Aso many times, but this was my first time visiting Aso Shrine. ⁡ It is the head shrine of the approximately 500 Aso Shrines throughout Japan, and a shrine with a history of over 2000 years.
