Kusasenri is located at the foot of Mount Aso's Nakadake peak. It is a vast, open prairie. The scenery you see before you is actually the terrain left behind by past volcanic activity. That’s why it feels completely different from a typical grassy plain. ⸻ 🌋 What makes it so special? Standing at Kusasenri, to your left is: 🌋 Mount Aso to your right is: 🌿 The endless prairie and straight ahead: 🐎 Herds of horses grazing leisurely You rarely ever see a landscape like this in Taiwan. ⸻ 🐎 Horseback Riding at Kusasenri When you visit Kusasenri, one of the most popular activities is: 🐴 Horseback riding You can participate even if you have absolutely no riding experience. However, I actually ended up staying the longest at Kusasenri. Because there isn't anything you have to do here. Just standing there. Gazing at the prairie. Feeling the breeze. It just feels so relaxing. If Mount Aso represents raw power. Then Kusasenri represents pure healing.
