Kazakhstan's apple capital - Almaty

Almaty is the most comfortable city I have visited since traveling to Kazakhstan. It is a city with diverse cultural and humanistic values and strong inclusiveness. Comrade Xian Xinghai, a famous Chinese musician, lived in this city for a long time before his death. It is also very close to Xinjiang, China. Although it was the former capital of Kazakhstan, it is still the educational, economic, and cultural center of Kazakhstan and the largest city in the country. Almaty, the largest city in the Republic of Kazakhstan, is located on the southeastern border of Kazakhstan, near China and Kyrgyzstan. The total area of the city is about 682 square kilometers, and the population in 2017 was approximately 1.797 million. Almaty was the capital of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic from 1929 to 1991, and the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 1991 to 1997. Almaty is the financial and educational center of Kazakhstan, and was known as the "Apple City" in its early years due to its abundant apple production. In 1991, the "Alma-Ata Declaration" declaring the dissolution of the Soviet Union was signed here.
