Abu Dhabi's first stop, we visited the Louvre, a museum enthusiast's ecstasy. The sister who drove us said that originally, the Louvre's artifacts were not to be lent out, but then they were swayed by the wealth of Abu Dhabi's tycoons, and that's how the Louvre Abu Dhabi came to be. The entire museum is situated by the sea, with a perforated dome design that seems like scattered starlight. The artifacts range from Eastern Tang Sancai, to Egyptian Pharaohs, to Western sculptures and paintings, everything you could wish for, including a wall entirely made of coins.
