This Lunar New Year, I didn't go to the crowded Xishuangbanna, but instead went to the lesser-known small towns around Pu'er. I've been wanting to visit Jinggu for a long time, and I finally made it! Jinggu has a long history and rich cultural heritage, and is famous for its many Buddhist sites. My previous post about the Mangka Xikang Yunshe Hot Spring Hotel was unexpectedly popular, so today I will introduce another hotel under the same brand, the Baima Mountain Xikang Yunshe Health Resort Hotel, located on another mountain top in Jinggu. I have been wanting to visit for a long time, but it is far away. I finally had the chance to visit during the National Day holiday, and the experience was perfect. The entire hotel is Mars base-themed and built on the top of Baima Mountain, creating a mysterious and magnificent atmosphere that feels isolated from the world. The brick-red buildings are set among the misty mountains, and the busy life is instantly put on pause. Picture 5 is an official photo, and the aerial view is really, really, really beautiful. During my stay, there were planes flying overhead every day. The most popular infinity pool is said to be the best in Pu'er. I wanted to jump in and swim as soon as I saw it. The pool faces the misty mountain top, and I didn't want to get out of the water all day. Unfortunately, it rained and cooled down when we visited during the National Day holiday, so I swam in the cold water at 20°C for a lonely photo. The pool is very clean, and the water is always circulating even when no one is swimming. There is also a glass platform in the water for photos. The deepest part is only 1.5 meters, so you can take photos even if you can't swim.

Jinggu County in Pu'er is a place many people have not visited, or even heard of. It is one of the few counties in Yunnan Province that is not accessible by highway. (The story in between could make up an entire episode, which reminds me of the love-hate relationship between the people of Luquan and the highway) Preface: Jinggu is not a tourist county, the tourism industry is not well-developed, and the attractions are quite scattered and inconvenient for travel, suitable only for self-driving. Car rental is also not convenient in Jinggu itself; I rented a car in Pu'er and drove there. Special reminder!! Since there is no highway, the road conditions are average, with many curves. Although it is a paved road throughout, some places are very narrow, so drive carefully. Attractions: 1. Mengwo Total Buddha Temple. The tree wraps around the pagoda, and the pagoda wraps around the tree, with a beautiful big banyan tree, especially lovely in the early morning and evening. (The people of Jinggu have many century-old Buddhist temples and relics, please show respect, visit as required, and do not be noisy. Pictures speak louder than words ✌️ Address - Yunnan, about 2-3h from Pu‘er by car. Basically in the middle of nowhere which makes it a great natural experience. Some proper driving skills and a SUV is needed, roads are bad on the last 30min Ambiance/Facilities - infinity pool, restaurant, BBQ and nature. Hotel is quite new and many facilities are not yet finished. Also, some were not open because there were like 10 guests top (Covid and location) Highlights - infinity pool and design Avg. Price per Person - 1.2K/night per room Rating - it’s something special, I’ll give it 5* for uniqueness

Getting There - car, around 2h from Pu‘er or 3.5h from Xishuangbanna Attractions - Hotsprings, baby. Food & Restaurants - only one restaurant in the hotel with plenty of options, in 10km radius you’ll find farmers selling fruits on the street - highly recommend the 🍍 Shopping - no shopping, nature only ;)
