#easytravelpost After travelling around the Gold Coast, one thing that genuinely impressed me was how easy and affordable public transport can be. My personal tip: before spending money on taxis or rideshares, check whether the tram and bus can get you there first! 🚋🚌 During my trip, I used public transport for so many important routes. Getting around within the Gold Coast, travelling towards Dreamworld and Warner Bros. Movie World, connecting between the tram and bus, and even travelling from Gold Coast Airport into the city was surprisingly straightforward. The biggest surprise for me was the 50-cent public transport fare. 😱 For such a small price, I could travel using the tram and bus network and connect to different attractions without worrying too much about transport costs. That made my trip much more budget-friendly! My personal travel tips: 🚋 Use the tram as your main transport backbone — it is easy, comfortable and great for getting around the coastal areas. 🚌 Connect with buses for attractions the tram doesn’t reach — this is how I would combine transport for places such as Dreamworld and Warner Bros. Movie World. ✈️ Don’t automatically book an expensive airport transfer — check the public transport connection first. It can save you a lot. 📍 Plan your attraction days by area — use the tram and bus combination instead of going back and forth unnecessarily. ⏰ Give yourself extra time for bus connections — public transport is cheap and convenient, but attraction routes can take longer than a direct car ride. For me, the Gold Coast public transport system was one of the easiest ways to explore without the stress of driving. Cheap, convenient and surprisingly simple — my wallet definitely loved the 50-cent rides! 💛🚋🚌

I started with the major thrill rides while my energy was still high — Steel Taipan, The Giant Drop and The Gold Coaster were my priorities. And honestly, these rides are no joke! 🎢 If you’re prone to motion sickness or don’t enjoy extreme rides, please don’t force yourself. 🗺️ My biggest tip — explore by section. Dreamworld is huge, so I avoided constantly walking back and forth. I finished one area before moving to the next. It saved me so much time and energy. 🐯 Don’t miss the Tiger Island show! This was actually one of my favourite parts of the day. I loved watching the tigers and learning more about them. It was a nice change of pace after all the roller-coaster adrenaline. Definitely check the show schedule when you arrive because timings can vary. 🍽️ 1pm — Lunch + recharge After a morning of rides, I stopped for lunch and gave my feet a proper break. Trust me, you’ll appreciate the rest! 😂 🐨 Afternoon — Wildlife, shows & slower attractions I then took my time exploring the wildlife areas and other attractions before heading back to my favourite rides. 🎢 3:30–5pm — Final ride attack! I kept the last part flexible and went back for whichever rides had shorter queues or which ones I wanted to experience again. 💡 My personal tips · Arrive around 10am and start with your must-do rides. · Check the map and show schedule when you enter. · Bring your own water bottle to stay hydrated and save a few dollars. · Wear comfortable shoes — you’ll walk plenty. 👟 · Prioritise your top 3–5 rides rather than trying to do absolutely everything. · If you get motion sickness, skip the extreme rides — your holiday is more important than proving you’re brave! 😂 · Leave some time for the Tiger Island show if it’s operating during your visit. For me, the perfect Dreamworld day was big roller coasters + Tiger Island + wildlife + good food + enough time to simply enjoy the park. I came for the rides, but Tiger Island ended up being one of my favourite memories. 🐯❤️

#bucketlistdestinations Dreamworld had been on my bucket list for years, so finally visiting it this August during my Gold Coast trip felt genuinely special. ❤️ I went on a Friday, and the weather was perfect for a full day of fun. There were so many rides and attractions to explore, including the thrilling Steel Taipan, The Giant Drop and The Gold Coaster, plus Sky Voyager and the Dreamworld Express for something a little more relaxed. I also enjoyed the entertainment and shows, especially the Wiggly Friends, Kenny & Belinda and Sock Hop Rock. The whole park had such a fun atmosphere that honestly made me feel like a kid again! 😂🎢 My personal tip is to arrive around 10am and stay until about 5pm so you have enough time to cover the major rides, attractions and shows without constantly rushing. Getting there was easy for me too. I took the tram from the Gold Coast and then connected by bus, with the journey costing just 50 cents under Queensland’s public transport fare. The rides were fun, the weather was beautiful, and most importantly, I finally achieved one of my dream destinations. Dreamworld wasn’t just a theme park visit for me — it was a childhood dream finally ticked off. ❤️🎢

On Wednesday, mummy took us to Dreamworld! And we had a wonderful time. It was raining, but that's ok because that meant less crowds hence less wait times 🎡 The best part though, after the fun rides was mummy and auntie taking us to the pretty ice cream parlour! It has a mix of a fairytale and retro ice creamery, and the rain also meant not much crowding in here too! Dream World is a really fun place to visit, perfect for friends, family, or your loved one. The atmosphere is vibrant, and there are tons of photo opportunities, from the entrance to the inside. Everywhere you look is adorable! 📸💙 My favorite highlight is the Dream World globe landmark, a popular photo spot. It's beautiful both during the day and at night, with the mist around it adding to the grandeur, making your photos look like you're abroad! ☁️✨ Inside, there are many different zones with rides, including roller coasters, fantasy houses, and cute themed areas like castles and dream cities. You can easily spend the whole day there without getting bored. The photo zones are especially amazing, with vibrant colors everywhere! 🌈🎢 There's also a wide variety of food to choose from. We tried the grilled corn; it was so fragrant, sweet, and delicious – perfect for snacking while exploring! 🌽😋 Overall, it's a great place to visit for a weekend getaway. Especially the Joker's purple track—highly recommended! It's the most thrilling 😈 ✨ The Oz World (Wizard of Oz) area opened last year, With the recent movie 🎬 "Wicked," I feel the atmosphere here is even better than the themed events at Universal Studios Osaka ✨ You can enjoy nostalgic animations on the big screen while dining in the central plaza 👏 On Lunar New Year's Day 2026, the park even arranged dragon and lion dances 🧧 ✨ For purchases over 300 AUD within the park, the receipt will show the tax amount, which can be refunded upon departure 🧾💰 If you buy clothes or souvenir items, remember not to open the packaging and keep the receipt safe ✨ ✨ Paradise Country ⬇️ This place offers a service to hold a koala and buy a photo 🐨 (Australia now has very few zoos or farms where you can hold a koala) The show schedules are well-arranged, allowing you to move directly to the next venue after each performance 🪃🐑🐕🤠 One of the shows even provides cake and drinks 👍 There’s also a free park shuttle ✨ Saw kangaroos 🦘 and koalas 🐨 👀 The only downside was not seeing wombats... Maybe it was too hot 🥵 and they were hiding... Couldn't find the adorable wombats anywhere. ☀️ The scorching sun made it too hot... We only stayed for about 2 hours before leaving 😅 Otherwise, there’s also a paid horseback riding experience for kids 🐎 ✨ Sea World ⬇️ Features animal shows and educational talks ✨ Perfect for kids 👍 There are meet-and-greets with SpongeBob, Dora, and Paw Patrol ✨ Compared to Movie World, the rides here are more suitable for children (gentle rides like merry-go-rounds 🎠 and teacups ☕️) 😈 But there’s also the thrilling "Leviathan" ride, a roller coaster that’s even more exciting than those at Movie World 🎢 Highly recommended with a five-star rating 🌟 Among the three parks 🍹 my personal favorite is Warner Bros. Movie World ✨ The rides are thrilling, and the wait times are not too long (compared to Universal Studios Osaka, this is heaven 🤣). The DC Justice League theme is fantastic, and there are plenty of shops. Plus, my favorite fairy tale "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz"—the newly opened area has many scenes that faithfully recreate the story 👏 For accommodation, I chose a place near Movie World and Paradise Country ⬇️ ✨ Big4 Gold Coast Holiday Park ✨ Stayed for two days 👍 The hotel itself has two water play areas 👍 The water slide area had 4–5 staff members 🥰 They were very attentive and carefully ensured the safety of all children playing in the park 👍 The hotel park hosts different activities every week ✨ You can check their website for the schedule 👀 When I booked the hotel, the photos didn’t show it was a villa—I thought it was just a regular motel 🤣 So I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival ✨ It had a kitchen, sofa, TV, dishwasher, microwave, master bedroom & secondary bedroom—it was quite spacious 👍 The only downside was the lack of a hairdryer and universal adapters 🤭 But I usually bring my own anyway.

When thinking of amusement parks in Thailand, "Dream World" is undoubtedly the first that comes to mind. It's a place where the whole family can have fun together. Getting here is easy, whether by private car or public transportation such as vans or buses. (Van fare is 50 THB, with pick-up and drop-off at Victory Monument.) Ticket prices range from 300 to 1,000 THB. We recommend the 600 THB all-inclusive ride ticket, which is a great deal! Sydney to Gold Coast Round Trip: Six Days, Five Nights During the school holidays, flight tickets were too expensive, so we decided to drive ourselves. The main challenge was the 9-10 hour drive between the two destinations, so we planned a one-night stopover midway. For accommodations, we chose only two places to avoid wasting time on frequent check-ins and check-outs. As for meals, we kept it simple and convenient, so we won’t elaborate on that. Day 1: Departure and Stopover at Stoney Park Early in the morning, we set off from Sydney, heading north towards the Gold Coast. Given the long drive, we decided to rest for a night at Stoney Park. Unlike bustling cities, this place is full of natural charm. We spent a peaceful night at a cozy resort surrounded by nature. Day 2: Water Activities at Stoney Park and Arrival at Gold Coast The next morning, we jumped straight into the inflatable water park activities at Stoney Park. The lake was filled with inflatable slides, diving platforms, and balance beams, providing endless fun. Everyone had a blast, and the morning was well spent. Afterward, we continued our journey north, aiming for the Gold Coast. By evening, we arrived and visited the SkyPoint Observation Deck, where we enjoyed a panoramic view of the city and its stunning coastline. The sunset over the skyscrapers and ocean was like a breathtaking painting. That night, we stayed at Ruby by Serain, a centrally located apartment with excellent facilities and views. Day 3: A Full Day at Dreamworld On the third day, we headed to one of Gold Coast’s famous theme parks, Dreamworld. It features cartoon-themed areas perfect for younger kids, and we even watched a tiger show. Though we were exhausted by the end of the day, we felt incredibly fulfilled. After dinner, we returned to Ruby by Serain to relax and enjoy the night view from the balcony. Day 4: A Day at WhiteWater World On the fourth day, we chose to visit WhiteWater World, the water park next to Dreamworld! The park offered a variety of water slides, from the leisurely lazy river to adrenaline-pumping vertical slides. We tried almost every attraction. The kids loved the water maze, while the adults enjoyed the relaxing floating pool. We returned to Ruby by Serain in the evening. Day 5: Aquaduck Experience and Departure from Gold Coast On the fifth morning, we took a ride on the famous Gold Coast "Aquaduck," an amphibious vehicle that operates on both land and water. The guide provided entertaining commentary about the city and coastal scenery. When the vehicle drove straight into the water, everyone was thrilled, as if entering a magical world. In the afternoon, we began our journey back, arriving at Stoney Park by evening for another night’s rest. Day 6: More Water Activities at Stoney Park and Return to Sydney On the final day of our trip, we enjoyed more water activities at Stoney Park. This time, we took a more relaxed approach, canoeing and snorkeling by the lake, while the kids remained enthusiastic about the inflatable facilities. The colors are bright and inviting. 🎄 Photopia is a super cute wonderland with a hobbit house, a knight's castle, colorful candy houses, and a flower corner where we can take pictures. Walking into this corner, it feels like we have been transported to another world. Everything is beautiful. 🌻 Giant house The front area is lined with sunflowers, and there is a spot where we can stand in the middle of the sunflower garden. 🎢 Sky Coaster is so much fun. The thrill is 7/10. It feels like we are floating in the air. When we are at the top, we can see the whole amusement park. 🌪 Hurricane This ride is also scary. It feels like we are doing somersaults in mid-air. Spinning back and forth at a height of more than 20 meters ☄️ Thunder Bird seems like a non-scary ride, but it is actually secretly scary. Walk a little further and you will find the Grand Canyon ride. This ride will get wet. Don't forget to wear a raincoat. It's a lot of fun. You can ride it with a gang of friends. 💥 Tornado is 10/10 for the thrill. It's so much fun. It's like our head is pointing down to the ground. Our body is being swung in the air. It's so aimless. When we go down, we all stagger. ☃️ Snow Town Let's take a break from the scary rides. The ticket we bought can only enter the Snow Town once. It's very cold inside. The temperature is -5 degrees. It is recommended to wear long pants because this point only provides socks, coats and boots to borrow. There is snow here and cute photo spots with bears, deer and snow houses all over the place. There is also a snow slide for us to play. The parade is every Saturday-Sunday at 3:00 p.m. and you can take a picture with the mascot. And in the area around the amusement park, there are many beautiful photo zones. Although dreamworld is much older as compared to movie world but in terms of size, dream world is the biggest theme park in Australia with over 40 over rides and it has a huge parking and in my opinion it feels more family orientated kind of theme park. Dreamworld on the Gold Coast of Queensland is one of Australia's biggest theme parks. It is dedicated to the movies of DreamWorks such as Shrek and Madagascar. It is located in Coomera, just an hour or two south of Brisbane. You can drive yourself or get a train to Coomera and hop on the shuttle bus. Actually this park is only part theme park, with interesting rides, especially for kids. It is also part zoo and part open air museum. In the zoo area you will see lots of Australian native wildlife such as kangaroos and koalas. In addition there are lots of displays on traditional aboriginal life in Australia as well as dance shows. The park is open every day from 10:00 to 17:00. Dreamworld is Australia’s biggest theme park, with a good balance of both ride and animal attractions. The rides have different degrees of thrill levels. There is also a focus on creating awareness on animal conservation while we got up close and personal with a whole bunch of animals around the park. The highlight of the afternoon for me was the Tiger Presentation at Tiger Island. It was super cool to see the tigers doing their thing – climbing trees, leaping through the air and diving into water – and to learn about what’s happening to tigers around the world. A ticket to Dreamworld also grants you access to WhiteWater World, a water park with its own set of rides and slides. Two theme parks for the price of one, so remember to bring your swimsuit along! #adventuretrips My Dreamworld adventure in Gold Coast was seriously one of the most intense theme park days I’ve ever had! 🇦🇺🎢 I went from fast, towering roller coasters and the Giant Drop to amazing 4D experiences and up-close animal encounters — it felt like switching between pure adrenaline and a relaxing wildlife adventure all in one place. But honestly… Steel Taipan almost made me lose my heart! 😱 The speed, twists and sudden movements were absolutely insane. I was scared, but once it started, the adrenaline was unbelievable! Then came the Giant Drop… that one almost made me faint before I even went up! 😂 After all the screaming and adrenaline, seeing the zoo animals was the perfect way to slow things down.
