It's just over 2 hours by high-speed train from Urumqi. Renting a car or hiring a driver upon arrival is very convenient. Don't just focus on King Hui's Mansion; the real treasures are within a one-hour drive of the city. 🍈 Food recommendations (Must-try) · The second shop on the right at the entrance of Altun Ancient Street: Baked buns, 3 yuan each. Thin crust, crispy bottom, lamb filling with a hint of cumin. They're juicy when you bite into them. I head straight there after getting off the high-speed train and eat 3 in a row. · Rice sausages and lung slices in the Workers' Market: Look for the ones made by the auntie with the street cart.
