Using a telephoto lens gives you the feeling of being in an ancient tropical rainforest village. 7️⃣ Bayan Ancient Tree A 700-year-old giant tree. The trunk is so massive it takes over a dozen people to hug it. Standing beneath it, you can feel the powerful energy of nature. 8️⃣ Kuta Beach Perfect for sunbathing and drinking beer on the sand, plus surfing—very chill vibes. · 🌈 Bali Travel Tips: 1️⃣ Renting a scooter in Bali is recommended; it’s faster and more convenient than taking taxis. 2️⃣ Accommodation recommendation: The Mulia Bali. Book directly with a UnionPay card to enjoy up to 5% discount; stay four nights and get two complimentary cocktails at SKY Bar or The Bar. 3️⃣ It’s good to bring some US dollars, but using bank cards is more convenient. I managed to find a secluded place located three kilometers from the center of Ubud. There, amidst the rice fields, the heat subsides and the noise of the roads fades away. From there, it's easy to reach waterfalls, the artist's trail, and other attractions by motorbike. The water is very clear, and you can see many baby sharks Manta Point, snorkeling above the deep sea to see manta rays! Truly breathtaking, manta rays as big as trucks in the sea, the pressure hits your head, one of the most impactful scenes of my life. Turtle Snorkeling Spot, the nearby coral reefs and fish look even better than what I saw in Malaysia! Luckily, I saw mantas circling here again! Day 5: Penida Island: Arranged a private driver in advance to take the west route in the afternoon (only private cars available because the island is monopolized, no Grab/Gojek), the emotional value was very satisfying Angel’s Billabong p8 — Broken Beach — Thousand Islands Bath (felt like after going to Komodo, Penida was less stunning) Day 6: Right opposite the hotel is Mount Agung 🌋 p9, visibility is better before 9 AM Famous Tree House p11, to avoid long lines, left at 8 AM, 25k entrance fee + 75k photo fee, stairs are quite difficult to climb Diamond Beach p2p12, really beautiful! We started at 6 AM from Nusa Dua and finished late at night in Kuta, filled with emotions and absolutely happy. 1. Pura Luhur Uluwatu in the morning waves. Yes, everyone recommends visiting at sunset, but we began our day here at sunrise—and didn’t regret it for a second. The temple, perched above the ocean, was serene and majestic in the morning light, without the evening crowds. Silence, only the sound of the surf and the wind in your ears. A perfect start to the day and a powerful dose of tranquility. 2. Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud. A complete contrast! From the solitude of the temple to the vibrant life of the tropical forest. The monkeys here are the true rulers, and you can watch their antics for hours. Pro tip: watch your step! We had a hilarious moment when we accidentally stepped on a monkey’s tail. Both of us jumped—the monkey in indignation and us in surprise. The emotions were off the charts! 3. Ubud: Tegallalang Rice Terraces. A classic that never disappoints. Endless emerald layers, palm trees, and cool breezes. Here, we indulged in simple joys: riding the famous swings over the valley (breathtaking!) and strolling along the paths, inhaling the scent of rice and freedom. 4. Secret Tukad Cepung Waterfall. This was the highlight of the day! The waterfall is hidden in a canyon, and to reach it, you need to walk along a river between cliffs. Once inside, you see sunlight piercing through the jungle straight into the cave, illuminating the falling water—it’s a true "power spot." The energy here is incredible and cleansing. 5. The Mother Temple—Pura Besakih. We concluded our spiritual journey at Bali’s most sacred temple complex. Grand, majestic, and truly impressive in scale and atmosphere. One tip—be prepared for persistent attention from local guides. A polite but firm smile and the phrase "No, thank you" will help you focus on the experience. Finale. The cherry on top: Fats Tony’s in Kuta. After such a packed day, we promised ourselves a reward—and we got it! Legendary burgers from Fats Tony’s. We remembered their taste even after 5 years, and they hadn’t changed a bit—juicy, bold, perfect. For us, they’re still the best burgers on the planet. The perfect ending to a perfect day.
