2026 Auron Travel Guide: must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transport & travel experiences (updated in August)

It was the last day of our 6-day tour through Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Nagarkot. Our female tour guide Susan was very pleasant and gave us excellent explanations throughout. She took us to Pathan Durbar Square, and we truly enjoyed the experience. My husband and I will definitely reach out to her if we plan another trip there.

Another reason to love the Côte d’Azur city of Nice. Not only is the beach right on your door step and Monaco just a short train or bus ride away but there is one more less known place to go to Auron. A direct bus ride from Nice for only 2 euros one way and takes just under 1 hour and half to get to French alps resort which makes it the perfect day trip if you want something unexpected in your trip. Once there go to the local bakery and grab a French baguette for breakfast and a morning tea or coffee whilst you take in the views of the alps and the local area . If you just want to enjoy a meal on the alps you can just buy a chairlift pass for under five euros but if you’re feeling more adventurous like me but not to adventurous just beginner slope adventures you can get a chair lift pass + insurance + entry to the slopes for 7 euros. Then rent ski equipment in one of the main shows nearby the entrance of the resort for under 30 euros. Just make sure to be back for the last bus 91 at 4pm which is the bus I caught to get there in the morning at 8:40am there are other bus options too so make sure to check.
