When I checked in, I called and said that I could pick us up. I didn’t bother the boss if we were not far away. This hotel is super recommended, the price is reasonable, the facilities are very new, and the breakfast is very good. It is the most satisfying day in the few days of self-driving tour. Traveling throughout Gansu province can tend to be hectic so it’s quite lovely to find a spot like Kaoshan Daying to stay at. David was very friendly and helpful, especially with his English language skills. He was always available by WeChat to answer questions. The yurts are spacious and have necessary amenities including electric blankets and heaters, as well as hot water kettles. They are also clean, most importantly. The shared bathrooms provide shower flip flops and clean towels with lockers and hairdryers. There are sinks outside the yurts and they are also very clean. The restaurant provides a large variety of ingredients to make a delicious hotpot. It was a quiet night when we stayed and we were able to get a great night of sleep. Our stop there was quite short, only 12 hours, but we would’ve liked to have stayed longer.

Stayed in the cheapest corridor window room for one night, and used it for the Danxia sunrise the next day. Personally, I think the corridor window room is still a bit depressing. Next time, it is better to spend a few dozen more to order a regular window. The little girl serving at the front desk is very good.
