The apartment was lovely we had a studio, every single item in the kitchen looked like it had never been used, it was immaculate and had everything you needed to cook a small dinner for two. The bed was really comfortable with an assortment of pillows and the bathroom had a really big comfortable bath. Overall really pleased with the quality. The area was brilliant you could walk into Zurich or get a bus, tram or train from directly outside the hotel. There was also a Starbucks and supermarkets with pretty much anything you needed. Oh and reception smells really nice (they are scented)
The hotel is located near Lake Zurich. The overall price-performance ratio is not a problem in Zurich. After arriving at the hotel, the basic luggage service is up to the level of Park Hyatt. When checking in, the front desk was very enthusiastic and attentive. They actively provided us with help and introduced us to the various facilities of the hotel. When I thought I forgot my wallet at the previous hotel, I immediately offered to help contact them. The hotel room is considered large in Switzerland and has been well maintained since 2004. The only drawback is that the bathroom is a tilted angle that is more common in Europe, that is, there is no door that can be completely closed to separate the shower area. I personally don't like this design. In general, Park Hyatt Zurich is a good choice for a budget of 800-1000 Swiss francs per night.
Because it is a suite, the area of the hotel is the largest among all the rooms in Switzerland for 8 days. I live in the suite 4e in the residential area. It is very quiet and clean. The room hardware is very particular and the details are good.
Very close to Lake Zurich, 3 minutes walk to the lake. Toiletries are L’Occitane single, non-alcoholic beverages in the mini bar are free, and breakfast is the most abundant in the Swiss itinerary, but from a Chinese perspective, there are still very few varieties.
The surrounding area is not far from the tram and railway station, it is convenient to travel, there are many places to eat around, there is no shopping and small supermarket.
The service is very caring, the waiter will chat with you, ask what you need, and explain very carefully.
The kettle needs to be requested by the front desk, the toilet and shower space in the room is relatively small, the room is a bit old, it is well maintained, and most people can accept it.
The hotel is walking distances away from the main street of Bahnhofstrasse. The room is spacious and super clean. The only setback is that the room doesn't come wit mini fridge and water kettle. Overall experience is great!
The service attitude of the hotel is very good. The lady and aunt at the front desk are very nice. The room is large and the bathroom is separated. It has a very cool Swiss style. It is very close to the city center and also very close to the central station. It is right in the middle. It is very good.
Less than 30 knives from the train station, 20 minutes walk from Banhof Street and Zurich Cathedral, the room is quite large, very clean, breakfast is not much, the front desk staff is very warm, the only bad thing is that I have paid the full room rate on the platform and deducted me 160 euros. Later, I asked the platform and said that it would take 30 working days to return. I don't understand why it is like this?
Pleasantly surprised with the friendly service received at the reception. Breakfast was good, especially the mini croissants and the fresh butter and cheese. Would advise you make it clear to the staff on your eggs order as one would offer you plain scrambled egg while the other would ask if you prefer to add on ingredients. Location is good, there is a shortcut to the train station from the back of the hotel. Room design could be improved but no complaints. All in all, I am thankful the service was warm and that really matters to me.

Outstanding
LLa_MimiSo first: This is a serviced apartment. It is very spacious, has a kitchen (25 francs a day if you use it), a nice saloon and also a washing machine (free). It is also in a good location and everything is clean.
The negative side was that in the bathroom there was no ventilation, so after showering it wouldn't smell good and I needed to close the door.
I would try another hotel next time, just to try, but I still fully recommend this hotel. It's really near the train station and the tram station!
CCHAOThe hotel is located in the old city of Zurich, in a good location, right next to the Grissmunster cathedral, across the street from the Limmat river, and convenient to every location in the old city. It is a 15-minute walk from the central railway station, and can also take 2 light rail stations. Close to Bahnhofstrasse, the service staff is very welcoming, in a hotel like Switzerland it is considered to be large, the room is still floor and very warm. Staying in the hotel has a touch of history.
GGuest UserThe hotel is RIGHT IN FRONT of the main Central Train station. Behind the hotel is the shopping belt and the old town where you can walk to see the various architectural buildings.
The staff there were helpful especially in the early morning getting me a taxi to the airport.
Cleaning staff replenishes the toiletries daily without fail.
Is a great hotel location and place to stay in Zurich.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very well located. However, the room is not completely clean! There are dirty stuffs on the floor, unfortunately.
The price is good considering zurich is an expensive city.
Reception people are very helpful.
Overview, recommend to check it out when you visit Zurich.
AAnonymous UserHelvetia Hotel exceeded my expectations, offering a much better experience than suggested by the photos on the booking site. The place is impeccably clean—even the shower screen was nearly spotless.
The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s rest. The bathroom was brightly lit and generous in size, with shampoo, soap and body lotion in different glass bottles. I particularly appreciated the cozy common room near the lobby, where guests enjoy a cup of Nespresso or tea, courtesy of the hotel.
The location is convenient, with a large supermarket just a one-minute walk away and at least two cafes within walking distance. However, it’s about a 15-minute walk from the main station, which might be a consideration for some travelers.
Overall, it’s a solid choice, and I’d definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Zurich.
AAndrea_yuneeLocated in city center. About 8min walk from Zurich HB to hotel, if you carry a lot heavy baggage, you can take tram from Zurich HB station to Central ( only 1 stop ) from there only 1-2 min walk to hotel, very convenient!
Around the hotel there’s a lot shops and restaurants, only walking distance.
EeM.MReally good place, well located - close to Europaalee. The hotel was nice, with really kind personnel. Clean, quiet, good price for this quality. The hotel also has an option to use underground parking space in a building close to the hotel, however if you stay for Sunday, you can easily find a parking spot close to the hotel as well.

JJackie The location is very good, it is close to the city center, and there is a public tram stop nearby.
But we are self-driving tours. There is no paid large public parking lot. The so-called parking lots shown on the mobile phone map are private or supermarkets. In short, he will not give you parking as soon as the supermarket closes. Payment is not paid or paid. But there is also a way to find the white ground line meter . on the street can be parked for free until 9 am, and then continue for two hours . In short, if you drive over, don't look like we stormed looking for a public parking lot in this area, you can't find it, put it on the street.
There is no picky place to live. There is also a cute small terrace that is to study how to open the iron curtains for a while. It turned out that the switch was on the back of a wooden frame, not on the window.
The cleanliness is high, the space is large, the cabinet is very beautiful, and it is also equipped with a dishwasher, which is very convenient. This is our dinner. Everything is good. If you want to be picky, the two cooking pots are not very useful. I hope to finish these small things. It will be perfect. Next time I come to Zurich, I will live in this room, because the check-in is simple, he will give you a password and press the password key at the door and fall off, and there is a lock at the gate, the whole seat is safer, there is also an elevator Don't worry about luggage . But on the last day, I have to leave and open this apartment and move to the hotel, because he has no luggage storage

MMoAngusI was plagued with trepidation before staying at the Swiss Star California. I had read some negative comments on Google Maps and trip.com, and the dread of what might go wrong loomed heavy over me. However, as fate would have it, my fears were unwarranted - the hotel, or rather, the service apartment, turned out to be a pleasant surprise and surpassed my expectations.
The room was clean, well-equipped, and not too shabby. The heater functioned perfectly, which was a relief since it was a frosty February in Zurich. They had everything one would expect from a basic hotel room.
But here's a word of caution: after booking your stay, make sure to check your email. You will receive a message from the hotel, not just a confirmation, containing the passcode and room number. Without this information, you might find yourself stranded outside the door, with no one to receive your calls or help with check-in. Trust me; I know how it feels to be left out in the cold, frantically seeking assistance from Trip.com.
Furthermore, if you have a lot of luggage, you may want to pray for a room on the ground or first floor. Unfortunately, there is no lift in the building.
However, let's not forget that this is one of the most affordable places to stay in Zurich. With that in mind, who could realistically expect luxury amenities and top-notch service? All in all, Swiss Star California proved to be a pleasant surprise and an excellent value for the price.
