This hotel offers a spectacular view of the rice plain terraces. It is also very quiet and peaceful, suitable for those who wants a short getaway from the bustling city. The hotel is an excellent summer resort with beautiful environment and considerate service. The picturesque sea of clouds and sunrise in the morning amazed my son. It is worth it to live in a hotel deep in the mountains and enjoy such a stunning view in the room! The temperature here is suitable, no air conditioning is needed, the air is extremely fresh, and you can taste delicious ecological food. It is really a pleasant trip. I will definitely come again. I would choose Duoyishu Mountain Resort Hotel.

We upgraded to a view room. The room facilities are very new. The floor-to-ceiling windows look out to the terraced fields. The sunrise in the morning is unbeatable. There are private stands in front of the hotel and on the top floor, with a wider view. The boss was very attentive. He added WeChat in advance and sent the parking lot location and warm reminders. When we arrived at the parking lot, a small Hani girl came to pick us up and carried our luggage in a bamboo basket. We had dinner at the hotel. There were not many dishes but the taste was very good. The red rice noodles cooked by Hani grandma in the morning were delicious. Thank you to all the hotel staff for their very warm and thoughtful service, which made us have an unforgettable and successful trip to Yuanyang. I have recommended it to many friends and will choose to stay again next time.

The service provided by the boss is very, very OK. It is worth my driving thousands of miles to come to this world cultural heritage. The meaning of journey is to discover, there are surprises and disappoin**ents. When you fall asleep with anticipation all night, you will find that you can't sleep at all. Every time you open the curtains, it will give you a feeling of surprise. The word ”beautiful” cannot be used here, because it is not enough to describe its stunning beauty. Only surprise can match the indescribable scenery of the terraced fields illuminated by the morning light. On the sightseeing road, it is strongly recommended that all drivers and passengers open the windows, blow the wind, and face the original fragrance of trees, flowers and plants. Please forget your worries and immerse yourself in the sea of clouds in the morning and the sunset in the evening. When you check out, the boss will give you red rice 😄. In summary: it is not unaffordable to live in more than 1,000, and this location is really more cost-effective.

Hygiene: The room is clean, spacious and tidy. Although it rained a little on the way here and was a bit muddy, the floors in both the hotel and the guest rooms were very clean.
Environment: The environment is very good. You can directly see the terraced fields and sea of clouds from the trail behind the hotel. You can also go up to the terrace on the top floor. When you got up in the morning, you flew a drone on the top floor. Unfortunately, the weather was not good and you didn't get the sunrise, only the sea of clouds. The picture was taken from the balcony of the room.
Service: I must say that the service in the store is very good. There is a road construction some distance from the parking lot to the hotel. The waiter used a backpack to help us carry our suitcases. Thank you very much (the waiter is very hard). After checking in, we were given drinks and fruit plates, and before leaving, we were given a bag of red rice as a souvenir.
The boss also recommended us where to have fun, which was very considerate.

It was a pleasant stay in Hua wowo hotel. Air quality was super good there. It was the best place for watching the sunrising in the yard or in the room of the hotel, very nice view. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was a quiet place for holidays. Hotel restaurant offered local planted vegetables and local raised fishes from the terraces. The owner and other staffs of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We will choose the same hotel if we visit again.

The proprietress and the boss are very enthusiastic and responsible. They helped us upgrade the view room so that we can see the terraced fields outside from the room. They came and went to help us carry our suitcases upstairs. When we left, they also enthusiastically gave us red rice. They responded to our needs in a timely manner and provided relevant information about going out to see the terraced fields, which saved us from unnecessary detours. She will drive a small tram to the parking lot to pick up and drop off luggage. On the way to the B&B, you will pass through the entire village. The people are less simple than Azheke. You can watch the little ducks crossing the river on the country road. . The most amazing thing is that the location of the B&B is simply perfect! ! Sitting on the entire terraced field, the room has seamless floor-to-ceiling windows, and the interior is modern and simple, with tea sets, straw hats, straw baskets and various props. You can also take photos in Hani clothes for free. The food in the restaurant is delicious, and you can eat a whole bowl of red rice! What Duoyishu looks at is the overall grandeur, then here is a secret adventure where you can go directly to the ridge of the fields. In the evening, the housekeeper will take us on foot to the observation deck of the village to watch the sunset. The sparkling waves can be seen. There are many B&Bs around. This one looks newly built and has a better design, unlike the others which are remodeled from the original houses. It takes about 5 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the accommodation. You can make an appointment with the staff to pick you up in advance. The room faces the terraced fields and the view is very good. The second floor may be better. The restaurant is more expensive, but the terrace is especially suitable for drinking coffee.

Xx1023The B&B has a dedicated parking lot, which is a few hundred meters away from the B&B. There are steps and stone paths, and it is a test of physical strength to carry a lot of things. The B&B sister will help the guests carry their luggage. To be honest, it is hard to bear it. Fortunately, we don’t have suitcases and can basically solve it by ourselves. The B&B is located next to the terraced fields, with a good view, comfortable facilities, good hygiene, and good sound insulation and heat preservation of the balcony doors and windows. The only problem is that the room door is not soundproof. When a wave of ******* guests are unscrupulous, they continue to make loud noises upstairs and downstairs for several hours at night, affecting rest. You can eat in the B&B, which is very convenient. It is not easy to open a B&B in the mountains to be hygienic and comfortable, and there are several local Hani aunts and sisters employed. Full marks!

The manager is really helpful and speaks English, he helped us to arrange our transportation to Jianshui, he gave us many information about the activities and hikes around and also gave us a lot of drinking water and snacks. There are also board games in the rest area in the hotel, we played a game with the car on our laps, so nice.
We had an amazing stay there, it was perfect.

EEvanC17The hosts, a young couple with cute children, gave us a very warm welcome at this brand-new hotel, which boasts a stunning view over the rice fields. The hosts are exceptionally kind, highly communicative in English, and very attentive to the well-being of their guests. They accompanied us throughout our entire stay, taking us on walks to different viewpoints in the rice fields and preparing delicious meals for us. This was a truly wonderful experience that allowed us to live like locals during our stay. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

AAaron CedricI love this hotel! The room is so atmospheric, with large windows connecting you with the beautiful scenery outside. On a foggy day, you cannot see any of the terraces and there's not much to do outside, but the room is at its most magical in the fog... the view looks like a famous Japanese screen of 'pine in mist'... or a Song dynasty painting. Incredibly beautiful.... I wish I spent more time in the room! The location of the hotel is perfect for those who want to see the sunrise over Duoyishu, since you can view it on the roof or, if you want to go to the best viewing platform that's only about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is also semi-walking distance to Azheke Village, which is 45-60 minutes by walking on the ring road. Every morning the hotel serve rice noodle soup using local red rice.... it's quite nourishing to start a day of hiking. Oh, and the boss is really friendly and helpful. He seems to only speak Chinese, but I think he will go out of his way to be helpful if you dont speak Chinese. He makes great recommendations and even seems to be good at forecasting the weather to help you plan your trip. He definitel 'knows the hills.'

BBrownThis was my third trip to Yuanyang rice terraces to watch the harvest, that I am fascinated by, during harvest season My previous trips I stayed at OneNess Resort (1/2 mile from Cloud). Both are great. Oneness is newer but Clouds has a vintage personality that is hard to beat. When I arrived, I was disappointed that there was no regular chains or small desk or table to sit at to work on computer and organize the daily videos that I captured. I just mentioned this to the manager and I went out to explore the area. When I returned, he had brought a table and chair to my room and placed them on the rooms terrace. The people here are so friendly and I personally take service and friendliness of the staff at the top of my list, Two of the young girls (sorry for the phrasing but I man 78 and we always used to use that terms as a compliment) tracked me down to invent me to come to the reception area and they would make me coffee. I was heading out so they quickly went back to the main reception and then returned to give me several “brew in you room” coffee pods. Fabulous location, fabulous people.. I’ll be back - God willing.

The proprietress will help with the luggage. The room is very warm and the proprietress loves to smile. No matter what questions you ask her, she will patiently answer them one by one. In particular, she recommended many niche attractions for watching terraced fields and sunrise without buying tickets. It is worth the money. I heard that the terraced fields are also beautiful in summer. I will come again if I have the chance.

JJamesHarrisThis was a really unexpected find in the villages around the Yuanyang rice terraces. The building itself is really beautiful and directing overlooks the terraces. The room was surprisingly large and the floor to ceiling window offers a great view(weather permitting). The bed was super comfortable and shower hot and powerful. The best part was the sister who works here; she couldn’t have been more helpful, even walking us to the nearby village to find a place to eat. She is enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the area. The only downside(and I know it’s a bit of a sensitive issue) is the lack of air conditioning in the room. Even at the end of June it isn’t hot around Yuanyang, but it is very humid and air conditioning could definitely help with the latter. That being said, I slept well with the window open and would definitely recommend and stay here again.

GGuest UserJacky's is the place for me as someone who has very limited understanding of Chinese. Moreover, many of the older villagers can't speak Chinese anyway. Jacky is a native of this place. I chose a very basic room which was sufficient for my needs. He was most helpful with information on photography, himself being a photographer and Hani culture. He arranged arrival and departure for me and helped with luggage. Please be aware that you will be in a very rural and once remote part of the country, so don't expect luxurious surroundings. If you are squirmish about mud, dirt and animal droppings, well, get used to it and enjoy one of the wonders of human effort and creation. If you are a photographer, do yourself a favour and also get a drone. Incomparable and endless views of rice terraces. And yes, Duoduo their dog can take you for a walk down to the terraces.

JJennifer in ChinaPretty much next to the terraces! The view from my room was amazing, especially sunrise, could clearly see it from my room or could go to the outside area to see. Therefore didn’t have to go to the overcrowded viewing platform at the crack of dawn. Room is comfy, heater and towels provided but not really much else, so paying really for the view. Shower powerful and warm but no toiletries provided. Says restaurant on description but in fact doesn’t have one, has a couple of tables where the owner can warm up dumplings or baozi, however the owner is very nice and took me to see his friend which is only a short walk away who had a kitchen and could cook different meals at good prices. The owner helped me carry my luggage down, and it was pretty heavy, and then helped me to arrange someone to bring it up at the end of my stay. I would recommend not bring too much with you as it’s about an 8-10 min walk from the nearest car park, with quite a few steps or uneven paths but like I said, can arrange someone to help with any heavy luggage. Also it is in a little village surrounded by nature so bear in mind, you are going to hear things like the chickens and the wind. Owner speaks great English, always there to answer questions and help.
