Yoshinoso Yukawaya

Yoshino|1.12km from Grave of Yoshimitsu Murakami
My wife and I spent our first two nights in Japan at Yukawaya. This was our first real holiday since Covid and we couldn’t have found a better way to kick it off! The ryokan is charming in every sense. We stayed in the new rooms with a balcony and outdoor onsen bathtub overlooking a serene and green valley. The room was spacious and in traditional Japanese style but, unlike many other traditional ryokans, also had all the amenities for modern travellers. The new extension also has a public bath with outdoor onsen pool which is open to the public only for a few hours everyday and the hotel guests can use them in almost privacy the rest of the day. The family run ryokan has been around for generations but they have kept it in perfect conditions. More important than the facilities is the warm and charming hospitality by the family. Not only were they extremely helpful from the moment we arrived, explaining about the best way to take in Yoshinoyama in English, but they truly made us feel welcomed by taking very good care of us. When my wife decided to skip breakfast one morning with an upset stomach, the lady cooked the tea rice more softly than usual for me to bring back to the room for her. Last but not least is the delicious cuisine served for dinner and breakfast. All the ingredients are from local sources. And even though they were presented in very elaborate kaiseki-like manner, we felt like we were eating a fine meal at someone’s home and not any restaurant. We can’t wait to return again, hopefully to catch the famous cherry blossom!

The hotel is right next to the attractions of Zhulinyuan. During the cherry blossom season, there are traffic restrictions and you have to climb a slope after getting off the bus, about 50 steps. If you have too much luggage, you can notify the hotel in advance to pick it up. The view from the hotel is amazing! !! !! There is a large cherry tree outside the window, which is too beautiful! !! Both dinner and breakfast were hearty! Because it is an old Japanese-style hotel, our room has no private bathroom and only a washstand, but there are no people in the public bathroom, which does not affect the experience. The public bathroom is clean and can be used for soup. Sound insulation.

A small Japanese-style hotel hidden in the mountains of Nara Prefecture, no matter where you come from, you can find the same feeling of home here. It can be comparable to the kaiseki cuisine of Michelin restaurants, so that you can taste the Japanese food that is completely different from the previous impression. After the cooking director carefully developed and according to the season, The food made by the guests' tastes is amazing! 👍👍👍 The hotel also has translations for guests from different countries, and the translation and communication levels are professional! Guests can also visit the crafts workshops in the villages around the hotel. Every craftsman and their craftsman spirit is awesome! The village is surrounded by a large area of original fir trees. If you have the strength, you can also go close to nature, explore the monasteries and waterfalls. In short, I am very happy to stay, I hope that in different seasons we can go to the field Neold Hotel to have a different style! .

The National Park Yoshinoyama Government has landed at the International Sightseeing Hotel, Jingsheng の Sufang Yunguan... Dare to ”slow the scenery” on the world heritage Yoshinoyama. There is absolutely a reason for his arrogance... Built in the history of Kawasaki in 1754 for nearly 250 years, the room The cherry blossoms in the wild mountains of Yoshinoyama, the open-air hot springs in the rain of the petals flying in the sky, ”Snow Moonflower”, the same name of their own treasures of sake... Here, you can really forget the time, body and mind bathed in the baptism of Yoshinoyama...

Accommodation for sightseeing and worship at Kinpusenji Temple. It's a steep slope up to the temple, so you need strong legs. If you go by car, it will take 6 km and 10 minutes. Kinpusen-ji Temple is a temple that is good at making money and has the atmosphere of a new religion. According to research in psychical science, there are no Buddhas or spirits, so it is foolish to believe in Buddhism. The food at the inn makes good use of ingredients from Nara Prefecture. However, it seems that the sweetness has won out a little too much. If you stay there for about 10 days during the cherry blossom season, like the literary greats of the past, it might be interesting from a historical and religious perspective. I also need money.
