Hotel New Grand

It’s been over a year since our family of four travelled to Yokohama due to COVID. We were quite impressed with the lobby and friendly service upon arrival. Check-in at 2pm is nice and allows time to check out the city and eat your way through Chinatown (couple minutes walk!). It was our children’s nap time so we got settled into the room. In Japan there are hotels at which the a/c only blows warm/hot air during the winter months. We’ve been through this once before at a hotel in Karuizawa and had a horrible night’s sleep. After almost 2 hours of not being able to nap and the kids getting cranky due to the heated stuffiness of the room, we decided to just check out, cut our trip short to return home, and likely eat the cost of the room. However upon hearing of our wish to check out, the front desk was more than accommodating and offered two separate rooms to choose from - both with actual cool air conditioning. Deputy Director Mr. Takaki Seto especially was beyond helpful and understanding of the need for our two small children to be comfortable. The new room was perfect and the a/c worked great. After the nice stay on the day of check-out, we were about to leave our room, but my wife discovered she had misplaced a very important sentimental ring. We spent an hour looking in the room for it to no avail. Our son had the brilliant idea to check the other room we were in for the two hours the day before. Mr. Takaki Seto not only let us back in the room but personally helped us search for 20 minutes. When we couldn’t find it, he called the front desk to check if the cleaning staff had found anything. They had! Only in Japan. The irreplaceable ring was returned. We gave our effusive apologies to Mr. Takaki Seto for his troubles yet he apologized for our worry. His kindness was amazing and we thank him again. Can’t say enough great things about the quality of hotel and the superb location. More importantly, the staff went well above and beyond. 5/5 and would definitely recommend!

It takes about 7 minutes to walk from Ishikawacho Station. There is a supermarket at the exit of the station. The restaurant is in Chinatown. You can also walk to see the Gundam. It takes about 15 minutes to walk. It was not three o’clock when we arrived. The lady at the counter told us Store your luggage and go shopping first. The hotel room is not big, but it’s no problem to open a large suitcase. Unfortunately, the TV in the room can only watch Japanese channels. It would be better if you can watch youtube, but you can pay 1,000 yen to watch movies. There are two washing machines and two dryers on the first floor. It costs 300 yen to wash clothes once, and 100 yen to dry them for half an hour. You can buy a pack of washing powder at the counter for 50 yen, but I don’t think it’s easy to use. It’s recommended to go to the supermarket to buy it. The restaurant does not have it Provide water or women's skin care products (with facial cleanser). Overall, the equipment is very simple, but the price is really favorable, and the cp value is very high

Location is good, about 10 ~ 15 minutes walk from Sekiuchi Station. It is convenient because there are shopping streets and supermarkets in front of you. However, the room was terrible. It is old. The air conditioning is not effective at all, and the shower room has no ventilation fan, and it has been squeezed for a long time, and the temperature adjustment of the shower bath is not good (the type of temperature and cold is adjusted by oneself). The worst thing was that the room provided as a non-smoking room is not a non-smoking room. Of course, I didn't have an ashtray now, but I thought I could provide it as a non-smoking room in that state. I don't think smokers care, but the whole hotel smells terrible from the time they are on the elevator. I think that the hotel is old, so I used all of it as a smoking room and recently provided it as a non-smoking room, but the smell of the yankees that rust into the room is really bad and bad smell I can't sleep at night . I was scheduled to stay for a consecutive night but only 1 nights and changed to other hotels nearby. I stayed in one room on the 8 floor this time, but I would definitely not recommend it to anyone who doesn't like tobacco smell. I chose this place because of the cheapness, but it was a mistake for me, especially sensitive to the smell of cigarettes. I think there is no problem with those who don't care about the smell of cigarettes as I said first.
Daiwa Roynet Hotel Yokohama Kannai

The location is good. It takes only 5 minutes to walk from the subway. It is on a main road with everything around. It is convenient to eat and drink. There is 711 downstairs. It is not too far to go to some major attractions. It takes about ten minutes to walk. The service is also good, they can speak English, and the reception process is standard. The room is slightly smaller than in Nagoya, but it is enough, after all, Japanese hotels are so small. The bed is more than 1.5 meters, enough for two people to sleep, not too crowded. Two bottles of water are provided in the room.

JR The distance from Sekiuchi Station and Bashado Station on the Tokyu Line is about 5. In the middle of the Bashado. The reception is 2F, check-in just tells the name and gives you a card key immediately. (Since this time I used Kanagawa Travel Discount, Identity cards are required.) At the same time, it is convenient because they will give you a printed explanation of facilities, bathing and breakfast time. There is a coffee machine in the lobby, which is free to use until 24, and there is also a microwave oven and women's amenities service. The elevator is 2 base, and I don't have the impression that I have to wait for the large number of guest rooms. (Stairs are also available) Room key is a card type, and indoor power supply is also managed with this. There was a two-story structure on one floor, inward and outward, and since it was a cheap plan, it was assigned an inward single room. The room is equipped with small hanger chest, pressurer, air purifier, etc., and there are plenty of desks, entrances, refrigerators, bedsides and outlets. (Multi USB charging machine on the desk) A cupboard with a kettle, refrigerator (empty), and hair dryer beside the desk. It's a single but large bed, and I'm glad that the pillows are 2. Wi-Fi had strong radio waves and comfortable speed. (There is also a LAN cable at the desk). The large communal bath is 11F and midnight 2 until the next day and 10, which is a happy time for business users. There is also a laundry (charged) in the men's changing room, which can be finished while taking a bath. Breakfast is 1F restaurant, in order to prevent congestion, the desired time is told at check-in. Please note that the last time zone is chosen, but before the end 9 time, the okazu will disappear more and more. In addition to the breakfast content of an orthodox business hotel, there are 2 items of homemade (?) Stir-fried food, 5 types of salads, and 7~8 types of rice assortment, which is rich in variety. There are 3 types of bread (no toast on this day), scrambled eggs, winners, yogurt, etc., and there is ample selection, and the price of a business hotel is rich in both Japanese and Western variations. Breakfast menu. There are seats on the floor to the back, so you can sit comfortably without getting dense. There are Daily Mart and Maibasuket in the same block, and it is convenient to buy and buy. Check-out is easy with an automatic terminal, and you don't have to wait if you don't pay. Considering the balance between price and location, you can repeat it.
