It was a Japanese-style hotel within the precincts of a famous traditional Japanese house.
The accommodation was not a Japanese house in the hotel photo, but a modern five-story building right next to it, and it was connected to Ohana, so you could use both the building and the garden. Even paid museums said they would give you a ticket if you told the front desk.
1. First of all, the hotel service was the best. The staff is very friendly and most of the customer requests are answered to the best of their ability.
The hotel facilities were also very special, as the tradition and the modern were well harmonized.
2. The hot spring bath seems to have a small bathroom for special room customers in the hotel, but we used the hotel's hot spring facility for free because it was a standard room.
If you say hot spring, the front desk prepared a bath ticket and towel for the hotel, and you can walk for about 5 minutes along the nice promenade in the back garden of the hotel.
Of course, it would be convenient if there was a hot spring facility in the same building, but my family enjoyed using the outdoor bath at the hotel next door for a walk.
3. Food in the morning Breakfast is, of course, not buffet-style, but slightly simpler than regular ryokan morning kaiseki.
What's a little disappointing is that I asked if it was possible to make a kaiseki reservation for dinner, but they said no, so I went to a seafood restaurant recommended by the hotel or walked out of town to eat.
4. Most of the restaurants around the hotel specialize in eel dishes, so there are not many restaurants and a convenience store is a bit far away.
5. The shokuen (garden) seen from Ohana's large corridor late at night or in the morning was really, really nice. The best thing about staying at this hotel
Overall, the staff were friendly and we stayed at a very special hotel, so our whole family had a happy trip.
