T Hotel Ryuoo

We came here for snow experience for our two children who has never seen and played with snow and they’ve got it!! The hotel is definitely the newest one in the area and has very convenient bus shuttle service that picks you up from Iiyama station which we arrived via the Shinkansen. The rooms are great and has some of the best window insulation I’ve seen. The snow sits on the window and doesn’t melt on the outside! The breakfast was varied enough with lots of protein options. The hotel staff is really helpful to make sure you have the best experience in the ski park.

King suite was very spacious. Well located directly at the ski slopes. Not much to do after 5pm and limited food options in the area. Lucille was amazing and really helpful!

I enjoyed my time at the T Hotel Ryuoo. The room was large, comfortable and warm (i had just spent 3 days at a very nice ryokan near shibu onsen which was also amazing but i was constantly cold). The snow was amazing. I lucked out with an overnight snow storm that began after i arrived and dumped a bunch of fresh powder on the slopes for my one day of.skiing on this japan trip. From the get go when i arrived, the staff were so hospitable. Everyone from Lucille at the front desk to the staff in the dining room to the shuttle driver who dropped me off at Iiyama station at the end of my trip. Everyone was so kind and helpful - always with a smile. The only downside to Ryuoo is that it's a small place. When the slopes close at 5, everything pretty much shuts down. You have a few restaurants at the various hotels and that's about it. One problem i experienced at the hotel was the wifi was consistently broken wverywhere except in my room where i could reset the router. I was never able to connect anywhere else in the hotel. Other than that, id happily come back to ski at Ryuoo again and would most likely book the T Hotel again. Arigatogozaimasu!

Food is less than ideal

Hotel renovated in late 2024 and under new management. This will be a top hotel in a few years. Rooms are clean with modern amenities. There are laundry rooms and entertainment rooms for kids. Bedrooms are massive by international standards even. Breakfasts are very very good. See photos. One thing to improve on would be the dinner food variety, quality, quantity (non set meals of 2000Y were small and similar to instant noodles. Premium meals of 8000Y are very good.
