My stay at the Fuji Marriott Hotel Lake Yamanaka was absolutely rejuvenating. The hotel perfectly captures the serene beauty of the Fuji Five Lakes area, offering a tranquil environment that feels incredibly spacious and well-integrated with the surrounding nature.

A short drive from Lake Yamanaka, we checked into here for the night—mainly because we wanted to explore the area and try the region’s famous Hōtō noodles. We chose a traditional Japanese futon room for the experience. That meant laying out our own beds—slightly clumsy, a bit of trial and error, and a lot of laughing when we realised there’s no “redo” once everything’s set. The weather had a chill to it, so the onsen became the highlight. Stepping into the hot water while the cold air lingered outside—it slowed everything down in a way you don’t realise you need. Nothing extravagant, nothing overly planned. Just the four of us, figuring things out as we went. Looking back, it wasn’t the hotel or even the lake—it was those small, unpolished moments that made the night feel complete.

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Fuji Marriott Hotel Lake Yamanaka. Everything was excellent, from the front-desk service and room setup to the overall condition of the hotel—it all felt modern, clean, and very well maintained. The hot spring was also a highlight: it was clean, relaxing, and a perfect way to unwind after a day out. The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you are driving, the location is very convenient as Lake Yamanaka is only a short drive away. What truly made this stay special was the service. Japan is already well known for its hospitality, but the staff at this hotel were on another level—exceptionally helpful, thoughtful, and kind. They helped me arrange a surprise for my wife for our wedding anniversary, which made the trip even more memorable. They also kindly contacted our next hotel to help resolve some rearrangement issues. This is honestly some of the best hotel service I have experienced in Japan. Thank you to the entire team for making our anniversary trip so special. We would definitely love to come back!
