Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao All-Inclusive Resort, Curio by Hilton

My fiancé and I decided to do something special for our parents on their honeymoon. So, we booked a surprise 4-day stay for them at the Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao Hotel. I had reached out to the hotel staff beforehand to ensure that their stay would be perfect. I'm happy to report that the hotel staff exceeded our expectations. Despite a few hiccups along the way, the staff quickly resolved any issues that arose. My father even said that he felt like a “King” during their stay. I'm thrilled that my parents felt so special on their honeymoon. The decoration for the paid honeymoon package, which included flowers, balloons, a bottle of wine, and a red velvet cake, was absolutely beautiful. I want to express my gratitude to Rayu and Daisy, the morning chefs, Tico, the bartender supervisor, and Erison, the bartender. Astrid, my mom forwarded me these names as they played a crucial role in ensuring my parents had a memorable stay. Tico, in particular, always goes above and beyond.

Great place for a family vacation. Very close to the town and the restaurants were good

Nice hotel upon entry, the room I stayed in needed small maintenance like tightening the toilet paper dispenser, re-painting the walls they look due for it. The cleanliest of the room was not up to my standards, for example I saw spider webs around the headboard, I’m a bald headed beauty so I know the long piece of hair I found in the shower was not mine. The dresser was not properly wiped down. There was an accessible safe in the room with dust on it. The reservations to their restaurants on the property were mediocre at best. The sushi restaurant was the best due to the fact sushi doesn’t have to be served hot. The food was better at the buffet styled restaurant. However that food was not always hot, hell damn near cold. I told one of the staff members Rafael this and how food warmers would send their ratings up. The food choices were not bad just not hot. I also feel that they should have had lobster and crab legs for dishes. This is a Caribbean island lobster and crag legs should be on the menu! Their drinks were ok depending on which staff member made it. All staff should be trained to serve the drinks the same way. You kind of felt cheated when one would make it better and differently than the other. One would have more alcohol or one would have a different twist as far as ingredients. If you drink enough of them of course you’ll get drunk! Some staff members were a delight some were not rude but seemly not to friendly. This could be due to language differences.

The pool with the pool bar was really nice. Most of the restaurants were good, one night the service was really bad but it was cause if the waitress. Walked to the capital and shopped. Felt safe.

One of the worst service at Hotels my family and I have ever experienced. Employees forget that it is thank to tourism that they are getting paid. They blatantly laughed in my face and in my elderly mothers face when they didn’t want to help me. Two specific events come to mind: I asked for a piña colada and they told me they didn’t have the ingredients. I thought it had to be a joke, they were literally at a pool bar were people are ordering drinks all day, how do you not have the ingredients? It wasn’t even late to excuse the attitude they had, it was before noon. Another, very kind worker had to come and actually helped us, proving that the other workers (who were now laughing at my family and I) were simply lazy. Then, there is NO healthy food. My elderly mother can’t do that every day so we wanted some soup from the “Italian” restaurant. We arrive and they tell us they’re full. You must understand they told us you cannot make reservations yet the empty tables I was literally staring at were reserved. Ok, I can get passed that. But I tell the lady what we can do to get a table and she, with dripping sarcasm, waves her hand at me saying I can just stand around and wait for a table. My family and I are not dogs waiting for a bone from your merciful hand. The manager comes over and while he’s talking with us, the rude lady goes over to her colleagues and starts making fun of us. An overall very disappointing experience.
