Lovely old place. Rooms very well presented and clean. Good facilities. Space is a little cramped and the window only opens a little. We found it a bit too warm but there is a small fan provided. Bathroom nice - Shower cubicle small - hard to wash your feet! Breakfast incredible - be warned though, it’s huge - the menu doesn’t tell you there are 2 large sausages, 2 hash browns, 2 slices of bacon, eggs, toast, ample cherry tomatoes and mushrooms, large pot of baked beans. We had too much leftover as the photo will show. The bacon and sausages are really good quality. We ate here last night too and the meal was lovely - we had the lamb. All the produce they use here is excellent. Salt and pepper pots damp. Plenty of parking. Overall a good stay.

Excellent welcome, rooms and service from the staff, rooms were modern, comfortable and clean. Stayed for dinner, Sunday menu, very good and varied, meat well presented and cooked. Breakfast was wonderful, full English well received and a brisket hash that really set me up for the day, diolch!

The room (no 10) and bathroom were quite compact but it was very tastefully decorated and had everything I needed. The bed and pillows were comfortable with nice towels and toiletries in the bathroom. We dined in the pub and had really good food with wonderful service. The staff looked after our group of six fantastically well. Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked to order and was delicious. My only complaint was the water pipes to the radiator (which wasn't actually on) started making knocking noises around 6am which woke me up and the room was quite hot, but I was able to open a window. The shower cubicle was on the small side which didn't allow much room for movement, but not really an issue for me. The pub is very traditional - to us it feels homely and the staff are always really friendly and attentive (we have met there for lunch before). The pub has loads of parking and my room was very quiet. My friends and I plan to return again in the future. Thank you for looking after us all so well.

Stayed here with family for 1 night. We stayed in the annexe adjacent to the main building. There was plenty of free parking. The rooms were ok fairly small, especially the bathroom. I thought the decor was quite dark and dated, but the rooms were clean enough and Facilities were fine. We had bar snacks in the main bar on arrival, which were nice and good value for money.

3 night stay in a single room. Moved rooms after 1st night as window wouldn't close 2nd room was better. Minor items in both rooms need fixing but rooms were clean and comfortable. Main heating radiators not working first 2 nights but portable radiators provided so was warm in the rooms. Breakfast okay a special mention for Karen at breakfast she was friendly and very helpful an asset to the business. Would stay again.
