What a disappointment. Kuzuko has very few animals, and claims to have nothing to do with Addo Elephant Park, despite what you may read here on Tripadvisor and on other websites. The food and accommodation were good, but the reason for our trip and the significant financial commitment we made, was for much more; hence our disappointment. At dinner on our first night the food and beverage manager came to our table to ask how our day was and I told him I was disappointed at how few animals there were and that I felt misled because I understood I was going to Addo Elephant Park and that I would see lots of elephants and other animals. The buffalo are kept separate and are fed, so it's a bit like a big zoo, or for those from the UK, it's like Woburn. The staff were pleasant but the general manager, Helen, seemed quite upset that I expressed my disappointment with her and her colleagues. She sent me an email during my stay stating that they were not part of Addo Elephant Park, and that all their communications had been clear about that. She also took the opportunity to give me a telling off, which I found surprising, as a paying guest. Here's an excerpt from her email: “I understand that you feel aggrieved but please do not hold Kuzuko responsible for this and kindly refrain from repeatedly and negatively expressing your disappointment to our team members – Kuzuko not done anything wrong” I contacted a local tour business and they came to fetch myself and some other guests and gave us a fantastic day out at Addo Elephant Park, where we saw over 100 elephants, meerkats and other wildlife. This was very reasonably priced and great value for money. There are lots of other beautiful and less expensive places to stay in the area. If you want to see wildlife this is not the spot.
