This was a pleasant mid range hotel. Staff were great - very friendly and attentive which set the tone really well. Decor is a bit tired though. The room was well equipped but too noisy for us - though what do you expect when it’s facing the main road! It was also too hot - the radiator was off but the hot water pipe feeding it still gave off lots of heat. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. A decent buffet, but poached eggs were smothered in a really unpleasant hollandaise - which we hadn’t noticed on the menu description. The bar was very pleasant. Overall it was ok but not much more.

My wife and I have just returned from a lovely nights stay. The room is a little tired but it’s definitely reflected in the price. The service was great the room was clean and spacious. Breakfast the next morning was £12.50 but you got a great choice. We will be back

Do not understand some of the negative comments on here. Firstly, this is a reasonably priced 3 star hotel so you get what you pay for. Some of the rooms are a little tired with creaky floors but this is a very old building full of character and we all liked our rooms. Very clean, comfy beds and large. We ate evening meal and breakfasts in the pub downstairs and it was lovely. Compliments to the chef. Good menu and again, not overpriced. We were a party of 8 staying 2 nights for a wedding at the golf club and were very comfortable. Good value and excellent location. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Thank You!

Went for a stroll today and decided to stop for a bite to eat, so glad we chose The King's Arms. The food was very tasty and nicely presented. The staff were friendly and a nice atmosphere overall. Would recommend and will be coming back very soon.

Came to the kings arms and had a lovely meal , the staff were very friendly and welcoming, would definitely recommend, will be coming here more often . The food is lovely and has a great atmosphere! The staff look after there customers very well .

Great food & service 👍 Will definately be back. The other reviews i've just read mention "the place needs updating" ,but it's a place with history in the middle of an historic village & should stay like that. Not everyone likes modern & poncy 😉

We visited the kings arms on Sunday for Mother’s Day. What can I say.. wow the food/service/atmosphere was impeccable. Made my mums day. Thank you to everyone who served us and the chefs too. Will definitely be returning here with friends and family!

Visited the Kings Arms for a family meal last Sunday, I can honestly say and we all agreed that it was the best Sunday lunch I have had, the portions were immense and the produce superb. The staff, considering how busy the place was were brilliant, polite and they made sure that we were well looked after. We are looking forward to returning.....keep up the good work!!

Was alittle disappointed with our room the hotel side has really gone down hill we stayed in the Anne bolyne room and we had paint hanging off the ceiling and even a wall that had been *****ped off leaving bare plaster the bathroom wasn’t much better either, we had our wedding there 12years ago and the rooms where amazing so we went with high hopes but was left gob smacked in the difference the food was amazing and tasted truly delicious and would go back to eat but won’t be staying again
