Ibis Warszawa Reduta

Warsaw|2.29km from Park Sowinskiego
Getting hold of this hotel is nothing short of a nightmare. They outright ignore emails, ignore social media and couldn't be bothered to answer their phones either. It's 3 weeks after the review below was posted on Google. I have now found unexplained credit card charges on my account. I sent 3 emails a week ago asking for clarification - and you guessed it, no response. Phoning results in the same issue, no answers. How do you run a hotel where your phones have not been working for almost 2 months - and cannot be bothered to respond to customers in a timely manner? Seems the only way to resolve this is by having to issue a chargeback with my bank. ”Probably the worst service from a hotel I have ever experienced, and being an ”Ibis” brand they should be ashamed of themselves. For more than a week we tried to get into contact with this hotel to no avail. They ignore emails, don't answer their telephones and don't respond to social media. To make matters worse, even the main Ibis call center could not get through despite multiple attempts to contact their own hotel. I eventually did come right by hunting down an alternative telephone number - only for the person who answered to put the phone down on me as they could not speak English. Julia Białobrzewska who supposedly manages the hotel will comment on Facebook, but is quick to block you if you send her a message asking for assistance. Ibis need to be ashamed - good luck if you have an emergency/get lost/need to confirm something with the hotel as you will not be able to get through to anyone leaving you completely stranded....”

At beginning I’d like to say that it’s in the quite good location. Easy to walk to the center or catch some bus. Biedronka on the ground floor also useful. Staff very friendly and helpful, tower A has a 24-hour reception. I chose the room ”Superior”, at first glance it looked great, however, after a closer look you can notice some tiny cracks in the wall and tiny scuffs on the wall. Kitchen basic equipped, countertop in one place cracked (MDF laminate), you can already see the tooth of time in this room. Cabinets don’t close properly (hinge torn out), on the plus side, washing machine (but no powder/capsules) and dishwasher (one capsule for a stay of 3d day), which was held on one screw in the cabinet, sometimes there was an unpleasant smell from under the sink. Living room nice, TV a little old, but has many channels even foreign, sofa comfortable. As for the bathroom, there is nothing to complain about, nice, there was gel and hot water, only the white towels had small red spots(maybe some lipstick?). The bedroom is also in good condition, fresh bedding, TV, the only problem was the hard touching door and the non-functioning led behind the bed. In summary, certainly on the plus side air conditioning in the living room and bedroom, cleanliness of the bathroom, friendly staff, free wifi. On the other hand, the downsides that I remember the most are the problem with the bedroom door(probably fell on the hinges) and problems with the cabinets in the kitchen - torn out hinge and (ATTENTION!) failure to meet the deadline for returning the deposit, I had to wait a whole month (only after not accepting the transaction, the bank reversed the payment)! I also wrote an e-mail about this, but did not receive a reply.

Radisson Blu Sobieski Hotel, Warsaw

Warsaw|2.88km from Park Sowinskiego
We stayed three nights at this hotel during my recent trip to Warsaw. The hotel is located not far from Warsaw Central Station (Centrum), with easy access by tram and buses (two stops only). The exterior of the hotel doesn't look inspiring, compared to similar 4-5 star hotels near Central Station, but the interior is actually of high standard and well-maintained. To get to the hotel from centrum, you can take buses and tram in front of the station. Bus number 175 stop directly in front of the hotel. To get to Old town, you can also take bus 175. The staff at reception desk were quite helpful to deal with our requests. Our room was family room with extremely large bed. The room is large enough to put in extra bed I think and the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. There were complimentary water bottles, tea and coffee and electric kettle in the room. Shower was powerful and TV screen was HUGH. We had a very good night sleep. The breakfast was included in our rate and it was one of the best breakfast I have ever had. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choices for hot foods, salad, fresh juices, smoothies, breads, fruits, etc. I really love the fresh berry juice, which remind me of hotels in Finland. The only downside was our room was not serviced on one day (maybe the cleaner missed it). However, all in all, we love our experience of 3 night staying in this hotel and would certainly considering going back again if we visit Warsaw in future.

The apartment very disappointed me. With no rooms in other standards we got Junior Siut. The general impression is good. It's a new investment, so the rooms are still clean and clean. Most furniture is completely unfunctional, the fridge under the oven (?!) at the table, made it a nightmare use. A compositioned canpa, which drove off after laying down while sitting on it. In addition, with a box, which contained only one pillow and a cotton. A nightmare big cloth - a coffee table - whose move to spread the sofa required 3 people. No light bulb and contacts in the area of the sofa. Assuming it is also a bedroom, a fatally designed room.Coffee/tea cooking kit for 3 days of stay for 3 people includes 2 green tea, 2 disposable sugars and 2 sachets of soluble coffee. Equipment in the kitchenette: 3 tbsp for a cross, a small teflon-cut pan and one small already-cut scissor. Of course the cup also were, in the amount of 3 pieces. One small bag for garbage! No paper towels or some kind of towels in the kitchen. Apartment with anesque? This is some joke, it was in the apartments and it was always in them coffee, tea, salt, pepper, sugar, etc. Because it is anesthetic apartments!!! Noisyly called a set of cosmetics, it is a cheap gel for shower in a collective dispenser. Of course cleaning in rooms extra paid. Nothing I've ever slept in Mecure and room at the same price is heaven and earth. At 7:00, the bad guy broke us up on the evacuation alarm. That, in fact, it was known after a moment that it was a false alarm that we learned only after we left the building and after a moment we went to the reception where it was as if nothing had happened. From the window view the wall of the block with balconies, no privacy, but I knew which hotel I was choosing. Well, it's a location in the center of ... I think it's the outskirts of the center of Warsaw. It may be a center for Warsaw, but not necessarily for hotel guests.

We really couldn't find a more satisfying place than it. Big, clean, comfortable and good location. Walk to Warsaw Uprising Museum and the city center for about 30 minutes.

On the first floor of the building is the registration hall of Varsovia Apartments, and the respiratory Vola Residence is already on the second floor in one of the rooms, working for certain hours. On the second floor there is also a restaurant, but if breakfast is not included, it is cheaper and more diverse to eat in the nearby cafe + in the building on the outside there is a frog. The advantages of the location are Edward Schymansk's big park, which is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Probably the only minus is a pretty noisy, busy road under the windows. We lived on the 8th floor, but with the open balcony we were constantly in the epicenter of sounds. In Poland, cars with sirens are often driven and, with the unusual, it was uncomfortable. Closed windows are good at noise, the room can be turned on air conditioning.

”Pre-Paid” and was told on arrival that I had to purchase sheets to use my booked bed (not specified on the booking site used), and then upon purchasing such, the receptionist who didn't even check my ID said ”we don't have any pillow cases, is this ok?” - so I had to wrap a sheet around the pillow....though this was the least of the issues. My room had a homeless man in it whose luggage was covered in dirt and he used the shower/sink to wash his clothes until 4am, which he dried with the hairdryer. He also shaved his head with a trimmer....again...between 3-4am with the lights on...ofc. 'Grim' is an understatement... The first chair I sat on upon checking out in the lobby had a wet teabag on it, and I paid £1.46 at the desk for a small bottle of water....in Poland. This place is a depressing and clinical semi-worker and homeless shelter for the most part. I only stayed for 9 hours...and that was enough. The only positives were the room furnishings and the free luggage room, but of course...I wouldn't recommend :(
