I stayed in Raleigh a single night on my way to Columbia, SC. I picked this hotel based on reviews on Tripadvisor and paid with Hilton Honor points. I got a nice reception by the receptionist, including a bag with a couple of water bottles and snacks (being a Silver Hilton Honors member). The room was clean. Despite being in the direction of I-40, it was fairly quiet and I managed to have a good night sleep. Breakfast was the standard, good breakfast of Hampton Inn with a selection of cold and hot choices. The cooked choices were hot (and not cold, as I experienced the previous day in another hotel). The location was convenient, close to Route 1 with which I continued my journey to Columbia.

Room was spacious and very comfortable. Maid service was as-needed making it safer for staff and guests. Room (501) at end of hall was super -- quiet! Breakfasts were good and service was friendly and pleasant. Front desk was very accommodating.

Stayed at the North Raleigh Hilton for one night. Check in went very smoothly. I questioned the desk clerk regarding the complimentary breakfast that I would be receiving and she explained that even though I made a reservation on the Hilton website, the complimentary breakfast does not show up on their internal system. The room was very clean. My dissatisfaction had to do with the quality of the bedding. It was UNCOMFORTABLY too soft. Sadly, I was unable to get any sleep whatsoever due to the bedding. In addition, the pillows were feathery and provided no support whatsoever. Outside of the aforementioned, the hotel has adequate parking and adequate conference facilities.

This hotel has the worst front desk staff. The staff were made aware ahead of time that there would be no hot water for half of the 5th floor due to construction - but they still booked the rooms. They did inform the guests. It was 9:45 pm when I tried to shower before bed and that’s when I realized the water issue. At first, the staff were dismissive of the situation and stated there was nothing they could do because maintenance was gone for the day. When I insisted that I needed a shower, I was informed that I could change rooms. This meant packing up all of my belongings and unpacking again late at night. This was not feasible, so I asked to be able to just shower in the room that they were going to move me into. After some debate, the front desk staff finally granted me permission to do this, however, they knowingly gave me a key to a dirty room. The front desk staff told me to “just ignore the beds and stuff” because housekeeping had not yet cleaned the room since the prior guests checked out. I was disgusted and had to argue for a clean room with hot water. I was treated as though I was asking for an upgrade. Additionally, upon check out I asked for a receipt which is required for business reimbursement and the front desk staff stated that the printer was broken and she would have the receipt emailed. That also didn’t happen and upon returning home from my business trip, I had to make numerous phone calls to the hotel in order to finally have someone email the receipt. I will never stay here again. There are too many newer, nicer hotels in the area than to have to deal with this place. Common courtesy and customer service goes a long way - but staff at this hotel don’t even have the basics.

Can't say the hotel was too bad. However I can say the location is somewhat sketchy. Directly outside of the hotel their is alot of activity going on which is needless to say very questionable. Possible drug deals, ************ and drug doing. There is a gas station/convenience store right there on the premises which too draws a large crowd. However the rooms were ok. I just didn't like that I felt my car would be unsafe in there parking area due to the amount of questionable traffic. So sad to say I never took my luggage out the car in fear someone standing by would notice a bag or two and come back later to check it out. I did choose to leave but not because of the lodging. I think if you can get past the outdoor activity it may make for a nice rest spot.

1. Good location, although near 540, but not noisy, very quiet;
2. Convenient transportation, only ten minutes to Raleigh Historic District;
3. The surrounding supporting facilities are complete, in addition to convenient parking, there is a new commercial center supported by brands such as Macy's Department Store diagonally opposite, and there are everything for dining and bookstores; there are supermarkets and gas stations for two or three minutes by car, which is very convenient;
4. The interior decoration of the hotel is elegant and atmospheric, regardless of the lobby or the room is refreshing. Room design, furniture placement and kitchen matching are very particular;
5. The front desk service is thoughtful and warm.

Housekeeping tends to open my door before I can answer to their knock, they barely give me any time to respond before barging in. On my last day, housekeeping knocked on my door at 9am and proceeded to come on with little to no time to respond. Checkout wasn’t until 11-12 so I don’t understand why they had even come that early. The cleanliness of this hotel is always a hit or miss. My last stay, I noticed that there were orange stains all over the bedding and I didn’t notice until after I’d already slept in the bed.

GGuest UserEverything was great until...... My wife and I checked in Thursday for 3 nights. Upon check in, we were taken care of by Maria. Very sweet, attentive and had us on our way in no time. Thursday night was fine. Got up and went about our business Friday morning. Came back to the hotel Friday evening, head to the room and fell asleep quick. Then came Saturday morning. My wife is disabled, and we were on the 5th floor. We got to the elevator and waited about 4 or 5 minutes, and nothing happened. I called the front desk from my personal phone (the phone in our room wasn't hooked up) Was unfortunate to get a front desk person by the name of Kwamel. Very unprofessional individual. I asked if there was a problem with the elevators. He said yes, there were not working. I asked him how we were supposed to get downstairs. He directed me to where the stairs were. I advised him that my wife is disabled and not able to walk down 5 flights of stairs. In his own charming way, he had no other answer for me. I hung up and had to help my disabled wife down 5 flights of stairs with her walker and our cooler for the day. Took us about 25 minutes to get to the bottom as my wife had to take one step at a time holding on the guard rail with both hands. I had to stand under her so she wouldn't slip and fall. When I got to the front desk, I inquired how long they would be out. My wife and I were going to be at a convention all day but obviously needed them working before we got back later that night. Mr. Personality had no idea. I inquired what we were supposed to do if we get back and they are still not working as there was NO WAY my wife could WALK up 5 flights. He was very unsympathetic and showed no compassion whatsoever. There was another rep behind the desk. She kept quiet for a while which was probably better for her. She finally asked me to come to her. She looked in her computer and long story short, if they were not fixed by the time we got back we had a room on the 1st floor waiting for us. I would just need to clear everything out of our current room which of course I would. That reps name was Karen. She was very nice, polite and showed an interest in helping us. Kwamel showed NO SIGNS to help. He just stood there with his shirt untucked and looked like it had been slept in. Instead of being part of the solution he kept telling me no. Wonder if he would have felt the same way if it was his mom or his grandma that was disabled and had to walk down 5 flights of stairs. I called Karen later in the day and was told they got 1 side working but the other wouldn't be looked at until Tuesday (holiday weekend) I am very surprised they wouldn't have someone on call 24 hours a day in case something like this happens. Doesn't say much about how much they care about their guests. Got back to the hotel at around 8PM. We were greeted by Daniel. We told him what took place that morning. He was VERY apologetic and showed much sympathy. Kwamel should really take some notes from

GGuest UserFrom the moment I walked in the door I was impressed with this hotel. As a professional in the customer service field I have a unique perspective in my evaluations. The front desk personnel were personable and efficient. Lobby was beautiful, rooms were impeccable, beautiful and well maintained. When I checked out I left a bag, as I live 4 hours away I couldn't just pick it up. I was arranging UPS to pick it up but nothing went right but the staff was patient and worked with me till everything worked out. Grateful is an understatement. Would strongly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a comfortable and stress free stay.

CChaLoveI enjoyed the pool and the A/C was very good in the room. I had a balcony that overlooked the road and shopping center. Balcony king room looks exactly as advertised. The room was quiet and the sheets and towels were clean. Appreciated the refrigerator and microwave in the room. The ceiling had an uneven plastering done, but it did not affect my stay. The balcony has a simple two chair and table set, nice to have a drink on during a warm night. However, there is not a great view as this hotel is right off the road toward the city. Breakfast ends at 9 am, I wish they would change it to 10. I did not bother to wake for breakfast the next morning so I don’t really know what they had except yogurt, coffee, and a pancake making machine. Overall was a great stay and the staff is kind.

GGuest UserI must say this place is amazing. The staff here is second to none. Convenient location. I highly recommend this motel to anyone. Prices right and huge rooms. I mean huge. A separate living type area separated from the bed room area. Thank you once again for a great stay. We have used this motel about 50 times in past year and half. Very convenient also to Duke medical center and university.

So I had to take two double twin bed rooms. Which was fine. Breakfast not great, only muffins, yogurts, and cheese & egg biscuits. They were short staffed so housingkeeping was not great. When I went both I found beer bottles and dirty towels behind things. When I checked out I told them that all that that we help tidy up things. Hotel was ok. Beds was comfortable. Great customer service and hope they find help soon.

No mildew around bathroom fixtures which has been my gripe with even some so-called luxury hotels. There was a satisfactory complimentary breakfast, though high carbohydrates. Other than milk or yogurt, cold boiled eggs were it for protein. But is you're hungry and pressed for time, the complimentary breakfast was adequate; the coffee was good and strong. Traveling alone for a funeral, I felt the environment was safe. Would stay again and would recommend to family and friends.

GGuest UserThis has definitely been one of our best hotel experiences so far. Amazing staff! They are always watching out for their guests. My friends and I felt like we were at home. The attendant in the breakfast area was very nice and helpful. She made sure we didn't miss out on any items. The breakfast had more items than we expected like fresh hot waffles, sausage biscuits, egg & cheese biscuits, scrambled eggs and fresh fruit. They offer Grits, different cereals, oatmeal with different toppings, and other basic items such as bagels and cream cheese, different types of muffins, different flavors of Greek yogurt (especially my favorite strawberry flavor), juices, fresh hot coffee, tea, etc. in addition to the hot breakfast items. My friends loved this place as they liked playing the shuffleboard and pool table while enjoying the adult beverage(s) they bought from the Marketplace at this hotel. Some great beer and wine. They even got into the pool and relaxed in the spa the day before we checked out. We will definitely be coming back!
