Almost didn’t go because of the reviews on TripAdvisor, but very happy I did. Really nice and laidback vibe. Travelers of all ages and from all places. All of the staff are truly kind and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. And I don’t recognize any of the experiences below when it comes to cleanliness of the room. Furniture is far from brand new and could use some TLC here and there but it’s really quite okay overall. Loved the kindness of all the staff members and manager. Enjoyed the vegan take on the breakfast en loved the food in the restaurant. Stayed for two nights, first night was a DJ and second night there was a Brazilian band playing. Recommend you to try this Selina! Thanks for a nice stay!

What a cool vibe this place has! Staff was great, accommodations are basic but clean and comfy, shared areas are cool including a wonderful roof top deck where we spent a few hours playing cards in the evening. Walkable to beaches, stores and dining. Parking on street but no issues. We would return for sure

Visited in Feb. Had a room close to the open rooftop, in summer when all guests will gather for a late drink, assumption has to be made that would be noise coming into your room from outside. Separate kitchen where you can cook your meal is a bonus. Will not recommend this hotel for families with kids as has vibe a of hippy/commune type of guests, unless this is your thing. Great location. Helpful staff and breakfast handmade by the kitchen stuff, but very tasty and you can fill yourself up.

We knew with a late booking that we would pay a premium for a family room but this value for money and basic hygiene was far below any basic expectations. We payed just under 300 euro for the room which had mold in the bed, squeaky beds, dirty shower with black around the edges, a fan that is covered in dust and dirt to name but a few. The Selina concept sounds great and might still be work in progress but the free breakfast we received in compensation didn’t really take the sour taste out of our mouths. We are not easily complaining but this was as other would classify “a total rip-off”. We were here last year for drinks and had much higher expectations, we won’t be back unfortunately.

Private rooms were in bad conditions for the price you pay. Horrible smell coming from the bathrooms, mold in the shower and flush broken and generally not clean. Several other people staying there reported the same issues in their rooms. Staff was well aware of all issues and pretended it was an isolated case and did nothing to solve it. No real community feeling since restaurant is private and caters mostly outside guests. I love the idea behind Selina but this location lacks seriously in executing it. Never coming back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Great vibe, helpfull and sociable staff and a house manager who knows her stuff. When housecleaning made a mistake it was dealt with swiftly and compensated with a meal in the excellent new cheffed restaurant which serves up fresh healthy and balanced food

We booked this hotel in high season several days in advance. Everything worked on the computer side and we received an email confirmation of our reservation. When we arrived at the hotel reception, no one found our reservation. Eventually, the hotel realizes that the room has been sold out multiple times and the hotel is full. We are made to wait hoping that a solution will be proposed by the reception. We are told that it is high season and everything is full in the city. They search on Google to find accommodation for us, but we know how to do that too. The staff is very nice but really not up to the problem. Finally, it was ourselves on our way to the village on foot who found a hotel 150 meters from the first one where we were not found anything on the pretext that everything was full in the city.

Who came to the table to say that they were 20cl and that they were their measurements and he wouldn't give them up and that we were paying the view and electricity... And he even sent us mouths... he asked if we wanted a glass smaller to be full... This is how restaurants in Portugal go. There is not a single umbrella and we have to eat in the scorching sun, the old tables shake and I asked to put a little cork to balance the table, the waitress brought a piece of folded paper and gave it to my hand and said see if this fits... And I had to put it in... The world is lost... I have no words...
