The standard of this hotdl was very poor. I felt like i was zlready in a ***** world country. It was messy, noisy from the road , noisy from other people staying and no amenities. The only good thing in its favour was its location in relation to the airport and the friendly face at the reception.

WARNING: I stayed here for 4 days; upon returning to my room I found they had painted the door, both outside and inside, with no warning sign! they even propped my door open for anyone to walk in and steal my stuff! I got paint all over my bag, they refused to reimburse me or even acknowledge their fault. the beds are so uncomfortable; you can feel that thousands of people have slept here by the indentation in the mattress. in the morning i had bites on my legs, fleas? when I arrived the receptionist didn't speak English, just shouted at me to PAY PARKING! so they do not make it clear that you have to pay separately for parking! the place is terrible; please go elsewhere. you have been warned. (there was loads more but i dont have the time to share)

Horrible experience! The rooms were very dirty, layers of dust under the beds, dirt all over the walls, and spider web everywhere in the ceiling. Bathroom had mould and the shower didn’t work because it was all clogged up. Would not recommend!

I paid to stay at this hotel for work however the receptionist took me out of the hotel grounds to what I later found out was an HMO, The room was just off the tenants kitchen,there was newspaper on the windows and the furniture was falling apart,the bed linen and towels had seen better days and the walls were decorated with dead flys, there was no kettle and the TV did not work also the room hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I should have slept in the car.

Get what you pay for. Arrived at 7.45pm went to bed at 8pm but the man in the room above me was on his phone and it sounded like he was in my room. This went on until 00.15. At 1.15am there was a woman banging on my door inside the lodge shouting hello. I told her to go away and she did. By now I was wide awake and went to the loo. On returning to the bed there were two bed bugs on my duvet. I searched the bed and found another four. Got into the shower and left the Lodge by 3am. The cost of this miserable night £42

Probably the worst hotel I have ever visited. Last minute emergency booking. Unclean damp room, draft, no light, broken shower. Reception guy was miserable and unhelpful. Disgraceful.

This place does exactly what it says on the tin. Nothing too fancy, not the cleanest place out there, but the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and the kettle works great.
Not a lot to complain about if you're not expecting The Bellagio in Vegas.
Overall, it was good experience.
I also walked from Stansted airport both ways, which took about an hour and this was an excellent substitute for sleeping on an airport floor. There's also a bus that runs right past it to the airport, which could also be nice.

The anticipation was for us to have a good night sleep for 8 hours as we needed to wake up 3pm for 6.30am flight from Stansted. After checked-in at 7pm, the host escorted us to the annex (adjacent to the main entrance), once we got in it was so very hot like being in a sauna. Host took us into a twin room, again so hot. After the host left, I discovered that the room was obviously not ready for us, such no toilet roll and no towels, We had to walk around the main entrance and reported to the reception, these were provided. Then discovered that the floor wasn't hoovered, so went back to reception re a further matter, on top of such unacceptable heat. Although the host was hoovering up the floor, he had been unable to bring the heating down, so very unbearable. Opened windows couldn't bring temperature down either. After 1 hour 30 minutes, the host moved us to a different room upstairs within the main building. Unfortunately, too late, this affected our good night's sleep. Not very impressive really.
