A small note: All liquids in the frig are complimentary, nice touch! The service was excellent, well trained. The food was delicious even though we have many dietary limits - like no meat, pork, heavy oils. They accommodated our restrictions with delicious, fresh fish and vegetables and fruit. The onsens, even though public access as well, were clean and designed beautifully. We've been to many ryokans this year, mainly in Kyushu since we live here. This onsen had the most beautiful facilities - and the views were drop dead gorgeous. My jaw literally dropped when I saw the view from the onsen with the lounge chairs in the steaming water - and what an amazing onsen that was!!! After much thought, the only downside is the outdoor tub in the Annex, which is really not an onsen since it used chlorinated water and the two of us had to squeeze in. Having said that, we already booked our next stay in the spring and cannot wait to return.

One of the best service i ever experienced in my life. We were having difficulty trying out the famous yakitori in this town (FYI, you would need to make reservation in advance which we were not aware of), as such we went to check with the receptionist at the front desk at around 11pm on the last night of our stay. The receptionist was very helpful. She tried her best to assist us to call multiple yakitori shops nearby and recommended us the one just opposite our hotel. We placed our order (for take out orders to our hotel) with the yakitori shop that was recommended by the receptionist but unfortunately, we did not collect our order in full as we did not check our orders collected and realized that we missed out on a few items after collecting the orders to our hotel rooms. To our surprise, our order that was not collected was delivered to our doorstep by the receptionist lady. The service experienced was beyond our expectation. We would like to express our greatest appreciation to the staff that assisted us. Thank you very much! どうもありがとうございます。
