This hotel is in an old historic country home, rather worn-down but with an indeniable charm. The hotel has a lot of potential but requires more investment to be able to attract more demanding guests. Positive: old charming historic home with a few acres of land, nice and perfectly-maintained reception rooms, helpful staff. Relaxed, laid-back atmosphere Less positive: • peeling paint, cracks, big stains in different places in the rooms • noise - the hotel is basically a big old house and sound insulation is not great if you have neighbors • really cheap furniture in the rooms, not at all in keeping with the style of the place. Minibar empty and turned off • "wild parking": if one of the very few spaces in the lot is taken, you park on the partially-mown, unlit, lumpy lawn at the rear - like parking at a music festival • shockingly deteriorated driveway: potholes all over the place • uncomfortable hard foam pillows • breakfast could be better If you are not that demanding and have a sense of humour then you may like this place.
