Just a 10-minute walk from Tsuruga Station

Rooms are so smelly, could not sleep at all. I booked a single smoking-room, since that is all they had on the booking site. When I arrived, the room was so smelly, it was terrible. I ask if they can change the room to a non-smoking one. They have asked an extra $25 because that room had 2 beds. I can only sleep on one bed and no one is going to book a room at 22:00 A nice hotel does not charge you for changing the room to a non-smoking one, if it is available. Route Inn is a chain I try to stay away from as much as I can. I regarded them as one of the worst hotels chain in Japan. Very rarely I stay in one of their hotels, only when I have no choice and nothing ells can be found around, like this time. Hopefully, will not have to stay in one of those again.

It was a golden week but we were able to stay at a reasonable price. The parking lot is in order of arrival, so if you want to use it for free, let's get there early. I stopped at the public parking lot next to the station because it was late arrival. I don't think it is inconvenient to eat because there are many restaurants around Tsuruga station and nearby. The room is completely fine if you just sleep. I was grateful for breakfast.

I lived in two mantens for two days, one in Fukui and one in Tsuruga. The service is good, but the hardware is not as good as Fukui. I stayed here only because there was an empty hotel on a sudden trip, but there was a retro feeling, but it was renovated, so there was no retro feeling. I didn't enter, but there was a hot spring facility where people from outside also entered, and I wanted to get a ticket.

I stayed here with my wife on a two-day, one-night trip to Tsuruga, staying in two rooms, the ”Grand Comfort 1, 19.5 m2, 160 cm wide bed” (there are also Grand Accord rooms, 16.8 m2, 140 cm wide beds, and twin bed rooms). What's great about this hotel is that there is a covered arcade from JR Tsuruga Station to the hotel entrance, so you can enter the hotel without an umbrella even when it's raining. There is also a sofa, 160 cm wide bed, 120 cm long bathroom, and a large shower head, so it's very comfortable even for one person. Furthermore, there was a safe in the room and a storage shelf above the TV with a door that could be opened and closed. My wife was pleased that there was a large mirror with a light and a round stool on the desk, which she said made it very easy to put on makeup (see attached photo). The price may be a little higher than a typical business hotel, but the completely different interior design makes it feel more comfortable and livable. Breakfast is available in three options: [Seafood Bowl Set], [Japanese Set Meal Set], and [Western Set]. When we asked the staff, we were told that the [Seafood Bowl Set] was the most popular, so we enjoyed the [Seafood Bowl Set], but it was a different breakfast from a typical buffet.
