Hotels near Camping Caravaning, Toulouse

Da Mitte September alle für mich bezahlbaren Hotels im Zentrum von Toulouse ausgebucht waren, konnte ich über Booking.com eine günstige Alternative für 124€ für 2 Nächte am Stadtrand finden. Das Hotel F1 in L’Union, 20 mn mit dem Bus von Matabiau entfernt wird dort als „frisch renoviert, verkehrsgünstig gelegen und leicht erreichbar“ empfohlen. Die Empfehlung überzeugte mich. Leider dachte ich als Tourist -und ohne Auto - fälschlicherweise nur an der Frequenz öffentlicher Verkehrsmitteln, um die romantische und dynamische Altstadt zu erreichen, keineswegs aber, dass die Beschreibung nur die vorteilhafte Lage für Vielfahrer hervorhob, die einen günstigen Zwischenstopp über Nacht brauchen. Nach 20 mn Busfahrt sind es noch von der nächstgelegenen Haltestelle bis zum Hotel weitere 8 Minuten Fußmarsch durch ein tristes Natur-und Gewerbegebiet dazu zu berechnen. Mein Glück, mein Koffer war diesmal nicht zu schwer, der Himmel wolkenlos, gegen 18:30 Uhr nicht mehr unerträglich heiß, als ich - nicht das erhoffte Hotel, sondern meine gebuchte Unterkunft erreichte: in der Tat das F1 Hotel, ein rein funktionelles und seelenloses Gebäude ist durch seine Lage und seinen überdimensionalen Parkplatz „verkehrsgünstig gelegen“ am Stadtrand Die Anlage wurde scheinbar nach Vorbild amerikanischer Vorstadt-Motels aus den frühen 60er-Jahren erbaut, charmlos aber funktionell. Der Eingangsbereich à la Aldi führt zu einer mini-Rezeption, platzsparend zwischen Treppenhaus, Getränke- und Fertiggerichteautomaten mit angeschlossener Mikrowelle und Frühstücksraum ( 4 kl Tische) Keine Cocktailbar auf dem Roof, kein Gourmet-Restaurant zu erwarten… Egal! Das Zimmer ist klein aber sauber, die Matratze komfortabel, die Dusche warm und die Rechnung bezahlbar. Trotzdem habe ich meinen Aufenthalt genossen, aber nur weil das Personal sehr empathisch war, freundlich und so einfach authentisch Menschlich! Fazit: Nichts für Romantiker und Ältere Touristen ohne Auto. Idéal aber für bescheidene Bürger, die nur schnell und günstig eine Schlafstelle brauchen mit einem PKW-Stellplatz vor dem Zimmer.. ein Motel halt ;-)

The hotel is only 12 minutes away from the train station, that was important for me as I was arriving late and checking out early. Breakfast is truely amazing - has everything, you can have it inside or in the outside inner area. The room is very unusual and has this red light option.

The restaurant staff was really nice, we were very well served. The salad was very good even if the falafels were not so like falafels and were a little fat. The dessert was very good. We will certainly return to it.

Top service, ultra correct price, quiet place, spacious and comfortable apartment, just a little bemol on the small toilets, difficult to enter and close the door but with a little gymnasty you can get there 😉. Very welcome and very sympathetic staff

On the edge of the city, surrounded by empty space, hotel facilities are average, parking is free, service is good, a deposit of 100 euros is collected, but it has not been returned to the original account for a week. When asked, the hotel said it was due to the bank. I don't know if it is true. Let's wait and see.

Yes, I had a good idea what to expect when I booked, so I can't say I was surprised at what was offered, but I was still left feeling disappointed. Let's start with the positives. The hotel staff were friendly, although not particularly enthousiastic, and my room was clean, as was the shower and the bedding. Unfortunately, that's about it. Things almost started badly in finding the hotel, as it is cunningly concealed behind trees, and if coming from the peripherique, there is no signage. The decor throughout is awful, and I didn't like walking past piled up bags of (presumably) dirty linen in the hallway. The room itself was very small, with an ensuite shower/WC, and there was little or no room to move around the bed (the only furniture in the room). There is no wardrobe space so, as I was staying to two nights, I had to put my clothing on the bed - not ideal. The shower was OK, but there is no room to dry oneself (assuming you've remembered to bring a towel). I had to sleep with the GF window open as the AC unit was too noisy, so was frequently woken by noisy guests outside. The bed was not comfortable. Breakfast was very basic and, if you want coffee, be prepared to get up to ask the staff member to use their pass each time you want a cup. Finally, I didn't think my hotel room was cheap and at the end of the day, not value for money. Sorry, F1, but I won't be coming back.
