Possibly one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. However, I can’t give full 5 stars to Hotel St. Regis Toronto for reasons that I’ll explain later. On the subject of location, the Hotel St. Regis in Toronto is in a very fantastic location in downtown Toronto with many of the city’s main sights and attractions (CN Tower, St. Lawrence’s Market and Yonge-Dundas square) all within short walking distance from this hotel. Readily accessible through RideShare apps too. Regarding staff, they were super friendly and helpful, in our experience. We initially had some debit card issues at check-in and admittedly, we should have been better-prepared for the credit card culture in North America. Thankfully, St. Regis were very flexible and our debit card issues were eventually resolved. I’m truly impressed by how accommodating St. Regis are for those of us who are from places that very rarely use credit cards. The offer of complimentary water at check-in was also appreciated. The housekeeping team, especially the Filipinos, were very thorough, kept our suite spotless and respected guest privacy. And on check-out experience, this is where St. Regis Toronto loses points for me. The check-out process took way longer than what is typically expected especially for a 5-star location (should be <10 min but took about 30 min for us). Unfortunately, a bit of the little time we have left in Toronto was wasted. What’s also disappointing was this time, there was no offer of complimentary drinks (even tap water, which is free and generally safe to drink in Toronto) while we wait. Admittedly, the staff seemed overwhelmed and visibly stressed during the time we were trying to check-out but I hope the situation improves for the St. Regis Toronto team in the future. On the atmosphere, it was magnificent and luxurious. These two words came to mind when we first entered the lobby. The grandiose look of Hotel St. Regis in Toronto permeated the whole building, from the hallways to our suite. In terms of our room, we booked the Grand Suite which was on the 28th floor and the views from up there, especially at night, were phenomenal. Our suite was very spacious and generally had plenty of storage room. St. Regis Toronto also loses some points here when it comes to storage since we found that there was insufficient storage space for cold items and there was no freezer either. The heated floors and the walk-in shower were also fantastic. The accent wall, mood lighting, clever use of marble for the room design and chandeliers were wonderful touches too, contributing to the luxurious atmosphere of this hotel. The living area of the Grand Suite was our favourite area, especially at night. I’m going to mention the views from the Grand Suite again as they were truly spectacular. On the online engagement. at the time of writing, I found the low level of engagement by St. Regis Toronto with online reviewers here at Google disappointing. I think the hotel should make more of an eff

Had the misfortune of booking this trash online. On reaching the hotel at 10 in the night, the receptionist told me that the booking was for 1 person in Queen room, while I had booked for 2 people. On contacting booking.com, as usual their response was delayed. On contacting his colleague(?), the guy let us go to the room without charging us. And yes, made us pay the entire amount for 8 days in advance. The guy took us to the 3rd floor on stairs (no elevators and creaky wood floor). On reaching the room, the room smelled as if a pesticide had been sprayed into the room. Changed the room, to the 2nd floor, where to my utter shock found that the music downstairs was too loud. It was then I discovered, that the hotel was above a strip CLUB... With a heavy heart, took the room feeling that it was better than the smelly rooms on 3rd floor. However, when the music didn't stop at 3 am, my old mother got agitated. Adding to it, the bed was not just small but rickety and maybe full of bugs as well. Tired and frustrated, she went to the reception, where a new guy gave us again 3 options on 3rd floor, each one more smellier than the previous. Utterly frustrated, we asked him if there was any other bigger room, which we went to and found was not smelling. Without any options, had to cough out 230CAD more and take the room. Just feel so cheated now, given that could have got better hotels at overall 118 CAD, a night. Some other gems about the hotel: 1. There is no phone in room to call reception. You have to go the reception, every time for every minor thing. 2. House cleaning happens once a week, if you are taking a room for a week+. ***! Have to ask for towel change and toiletries. 3. Semi-clad girls are in a passage adjacent to hotel lobby and the music is super loud. 4. The adjacent area is damn scary, and outside the hotel you end up meeting a lot of addicts, asking you scarily for 'change'. 5. The walls are so thin, that if TV is on in an adjacent room, so you end up hearing the entire thing. For some wierd reason, had a loud talker in the adjacent room, who kept TV on for the entire night. To give some credit, yes the location is near to major attractions downtown and the receptionists were helpful. But the hotel is a trash-bag, to be avoided at all costs!

We arrived as part of a USA & Canada trip from Ireland. My second visit to Canada and my partners first visit. This hotel was fantastic. We had started our trip in San Francisco in a holiday inn express so we hoped this hotel would mirror the experience we had there and it did! We were greeted as we entered by a gentleman on the desk. This was Easter time and the hotel had chocolate treats at the desk for guests. Thoughtful little gesture. The guy was very friendly and welcoming. He made sure that we would have a nice room and also that we would have a room up high to enjoy a nice view. Breakfast was included and we were again very impressed with the service and the selection that was on offer for breakfast just like San Francisco hotel. We arrived in our room which was great. The room had all the essentials and was very clean and Modern. The view was amazing overlooking the park across from the hotel and a view of all the sky scrapers in downtown Toronto. The hotel was very close to a metro supermarket for food and snacks for the room. We checked out a lovely restaurant called HOTHOUSE which we enjoyed the food and the service. Please check out a few coffee shops nearby including the black canary, Fahrenheit, b espresso bar and third wave coffee. Just a few mentioned. The hotel is near St Lawrence market for all the foodies. This market has so much to offer. Lots of local produce and fresh food market stalls for everyone. What a great city and what a fantastic hotel.

The staff is fantastic! It was a 20 minute walk to scotia bank arena. The towels and the bedding didn’t smell fresh. I’m sure they are clean maybe their laundry machines need to be replaced. Overall we had a comfortable stay.

The hotel was fantastic, great location and great facilities. The staff were also top class, extremely helpful and polite. Nathaly on reception ensured we were not only up to date of what the hotel could offer but provide a city map and pointed out lots of areas of interest for us to explore. Matthew in the concierge team was equally helpful and polite, leading use directly into the subway from the hotel to prevent us needing to carry heavy cases down the steep steps at the external entrance. Many thanks for helping make Toronto a great experience.

We stayed four nights at the hotel. The check in was quick and easy. The housekeeping services each day were very good. The restaurant onsite was not open but there are several coffee shops in the immediate area so that wasn't a problem. The public transit was close by and it easy to access. The reason we won't give the hotel five stars is because the WiFi was terrible. The routers were old and not secure, the service was very slow and we were not impressed.

My parents were there for my mums surgery (it is right opposite St Michael's Hospital) for the third time, I reached out to the hotel to request an early check in and for them just to extend extra care as I am in Vancouver and could not be there(travel restrictions). Shivani from the Marketing Team was quick to respond to my request, she assured me the message had been conveyed to the concerned persons at the hotel and my parents would be well taken care off, my mum called me right after they check in, not only were they given a CLEAN, SAFE, BEAUTIFUL, SPACIOUS HOTEL ROOM, they had such a warm welcome and Pela the receptionist actually remembered them from the last time they stayed. It is during these trialing times that these hospitality industry leaders serve as true heroes as they continue to create treasured experiences for people despite the conditions they are going through, the worry of what will happen to them tomorrow..... Just the comfort of knowing from miles away that my parents at the Pantages were 'at home' was indeed a priceless experience. We will keep booking Pantages when in Downtown Toronto for their amazing service and for always being ready to go the extra mile for their guests and I strongly recommend this hotel to any guest.....
