We were going up the Oregon coast and we wanted to do the Tillamook Creamery. We looked at hotels in the area, and this one came up nearby. I’d never stayed in a tiny house before and I liked the idea of having our own space that wasn’t a hotel room. Honestly, I like the choice we made and I’d stay here again. The innkeeper Mark was really communicative and he left us instructions for self check-in and check-out. The area itself is really quiet and off the road, so it’s really serene and private. The house itself was real cute too and just the right amount of space for two people. My only real criticism is the house wasn’t as clean as you’d find a hotel room to be. We had the Garden house and the ceiling fans were really dusty and the shower floor was pretty dusty as well. The bed was also pretty uncomfortable and springy, so if I had any advice I’d just say the house could use a new mattress. The water pressure in the shower is really low, too. Those gripes didn’t make it a bad experience, though. Sheltered Nook is really close to the coastal towns like Garibaldi and Rockaway Beach, as well as Tillamook. There is also a Fred Meyer and a Grocery Outlet in Tillamook so if you wanted to cook in the house, it’s easy to get groceries.
