Just come back from this hotel. From 28 May for a week. The hotel is lovely and it is very clean and staff very polite and friendly , but quite a corporate hotel ( large conference gong on when we were there) sadly a lot of the complex was closed so at times we were bored. Also this hotel is in a very remote location, apart from the fabulous beaches there is nothing to see or do. The hotel could have provided better information on the area , transport information etc. it was advertised that there were bicycles for guests but the hotel only had 2 E bikes at a high charge and there seemed a reluctance when asked to get info on costs of normal bikes . Due to remote location the hotel should maybe consider providing guests with bikes for a set period of time during their stay free of charge. Travel companies should stress remoteness of this location, we asked about a taxi and we were told they needed 24th notice to go anywhere. Can’t stress how idyllic the beaches were but sadly not a location we would revisit.

Conrad Chia has made me want to switch my Marriott loyalty to Hilton :)). Their guest relations service is one of the best I have ever experienced overseas. The room is super, and their bed is even better than the Ritz. They trained their employees so well that I cannot even find any complaints. I wished I had one more extra day for my vacation just to stay there and enjoy Chia and swim with the fish.

The place is magnific, Chia has wonderful nature and beaches especially out of season. The hotel rooms are ok not very spacious but very disappointing the food. We stayed for some daya. Buffet breakfast with no fresh fruit only apples and bananas. Cakes and bakery are industrial. At lunch and dinner very often the buffet was scarce No typical sardinian food. For the price paid is not exactly what you expect Very pricey also just a glass of wine as aperitivo at the bar of the resort

This hotel is one of the best I have been. Everybody has a smiling face, highly professional and friendly. Our room was gorgeous we even got an upgrade. In the hotel there is a beautiful scent especially in the reception area. Beach and sea is top. We enjoyed spending time there. The restaurant and meals were exceptional. Everything felt on point. I really enjoyed my time there and will definitively come back. Thank you for this beautiful stay. I was relaxed and felt just great.

I always start these reviews by emphasising that I’m fortunate enough to be a seasoned traveller who has visited an array of continents and who has family across Europe. With this in mind, I booked this trip as I wanted to visit Sardinia and have the option of visiting the capital while relaxing far enough away from it with good quality beaches/tranquility. So here goes: The Good: Beaches - Lovely fine white sand, parasols, comfortable chairs and a good, functioning shuttle transport system. The dune beach is best as it has food options for lunch and a bar. Prices not unreasonable. Pool - I would say this is an average to good pool but does not compare with those offered by the likes of an Ikos resort in Greece. This being said, excellent service and friendly staff here with another lunch option. Breakfast/Dinner (Terrazza) - Breakfast excellent with the usual spread of options and some order-able choices too made by a (visible) chef in the indoor area. Dinner here (HB package) also very good with food presented well and a wide choice on offer. - As I’ll later explain, however, this needs to be the case. Ants an issue outside - Conrad, please sort this out as dead ants on tablecloth not a good look. The average: Staff attentiveness - Have the feeling this will improve, but some feel lost and are just average. Again, doesn’t touch the calibre of Ikos staff. Others such as Matteo and those by the pool very good. Rooms - Bathrooms nice (if the most ridiculous shower operating system) with a nice terrace - Was upgraded to a junior suite upon arrival. AC system old and far too loud, struggling to cool the room. Beds comfortable but the rooms are showing their age and require modernisation while maintaining the Sardinian style. The bad/annoying: Booking Half Board is recommended on most sites such as *********** - While breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant is good, Sa Mesa (also under the Conrad name) is borderline abysmal. HB guests get €30 credit each at these places, with the main restaurant included. The hotel is in a weird layout, sharing some restaurants and the main piazza with nearby Chia Laguna hotels with, frankly, worse clientele with more kids (trying to not sound like a complete **** here). So to be frank, I haven’t thus far tried the other dining options on offer and won’t ever be tempted by a buffet for dinner. Choices on this front of good dining are therefore lacking. Sa Mesa needs urgent work - Slow service, average food and awful fluorescent lighting outside without any effort/design or anything really. Terrible shame as it serves traditional Sardinian food. This is my largest issue and I hope it’s dealt with ASAP. Hotel distance to the city is about 50m - 1h. Transfers can be booked at reception and added to your bill so don’t worry about grabbing hundreds of Euros. About €130 each way so on the pricey side, but good drivers in nice Mercedes vehicles - Top tip - Call the hotel before you want picking

We LOVED our stay at the Conrad on Chia Beach. Located on a green hill overlooking the breathtaking beach and pink flamingo-dwelled lagoon, this low rise hotel mixes luxurious comforts to nods to the local culture. Our room was spacious, impeccably appointed and afforded jaw dropping views of the bay. We treated ourselves to a junior suite with sea views- so glad we did. Upon arrival, the super friendly staff valeted our car and checked us into our suite. We felt pampered since the first second we arrived. The front desk and concierge team was among the nicest yet professional I have ever experienced. Over our stay we tried out quite a lot of what the resort has to offer. The SPA has amenities ranging from saunas, Turkish bath , heated and cool pools within lovely manicured gardens, and treatments. We went almost every day . The staff were super helpful - you can even arrange things using the app which makes it all very easy. We used the gym every day. It was modern, bright and had great views. The pool area is wonderful , again attended by a great team. I felt like I was offered a drink twenty second before I realised I wanted one! Breakfast service on the terrace was very tasty, with healthy options as well as classic continental fare. I loved the fresh local fruit and they offer also brunch style options. The champagne bar was great, we went almost every sunset. We loved the live music and great cocktails and drinks served by the awesome and obviously super trained staff there. We sampled a few of the resort restaurants and were impressed with both service, experience and quality. If you want to check out food options outside the resort, there are some lovely local restaurants less than 5 minutes drive away. The resort offers 5 minutes golf buggy transfers to their private beach club. Think white sand and blue Med. We loved loved loved it and again the staff there were impeccable. If you want to explore, there is a lot to see in the area. The idyllic Tuerredda beach is 15 minutes drive away and the thriving town of Pula less than 30. All in all we left the Conrad resort feeling spoilt, recharged and happy . We’ll be back Sent from my iPhone

We had a wonderful three night stay at this hotel and left feeling fully recharged. The hotel is designed beautifully, with an ambience of calm throughout. Our room was gorgeous with a great view of lagoon, the greenery and the beach. The spa and pools were brilliant - we had a fabulous lunch complete with Sardinian wine on the pool deck that overlooks the lagoon and beach. And the beaches (they have two private ones) were great - quality sun beds and umbrellas, lifeguards, bar with paninis and the beautiful turquoise of the Med. But I think what makes this hotel so great really is the staff. They were so friendly and helpful - valet on arrival (great because I’m a terrible parker!), reception / concierge always ready to greet you, waiters who share their local recommendations and everyone happy to speak Italian or English (plus I heard lots of Spanish). I always felt really welcomed.

We stayed at the Conrad Chia Laguna for 7 nights and I have to say, while the hotel has great potential, it was a mixed experience. As a new Hilton franchisee, not everything has been brought up to the Conrad level yet. Firstly, the beautiful surroundings and wonderful stretch of sandy beach were a definite highlight. We enjoyed the convenient shuttle service to the beach and the great towel service provided. The lifeguards were some of the nicest staff we met. The relaxing spa was also a highlight, providing the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Additionally, the housekeeping was very good and while some items were occasionally forgotten, they were quick to respond to any issues. HH Diamond status recognition was also at least on par with other Conrad properties. However, there were some areas where the property could improve. For example, some critical staff members struggled with communicative English which led to frequent confusion during our stay. E.g. I asked for a shaving kit but was transferred to the room service ready to take my food order, which was a little frustrating. Another area that could use improvement is the on-site restaurants. While the prices were certainly at the Conrad level already, the quality of the food was not up to par. Oftentimes, the staff seemed to be walking around and watching, but not doing much else. On multiple occasions, they've forgotten our orders and it needed multiple reminders and long waits to get the check. The situation improved each time the F&B manager was around but that was unfortunately short-lived. There's also a noticeable lack of consistency in both meals and service. Menu item descriptions were often also inaccurate or translated into English incorrectly. E.g. Seabass with grilled vegetables came on spinach and no vegetables. "Chicken strips" turned out to be a single piece of breaded chicken breast. The buffet breakfast was also rather limited and unexciting compared to other Conrad properties we've stayed at. From my experience, even regular city-center Hiltons offer much more choice. The other guests were also visibly unhappy about this. I've never before witnessed situations with so many guests either refusing to pay, asking for a manager, or sending back their orders. Finally, the A/C was turned off during our stay and we were always greeted by a musty smell. This was not the most luxurious experience, but it was manageable. Overall, the Conrad Chia Laguna has some areas where it could improve, but it also has some real highlights worth experiencing. With some work, I'm sure this property could become a true gem.

I have been to the Hotel Chia Laguna every summer for the past seven years, bringing my three children and often extended family along, and normally staying for at least one month. Chia Laguna has become our second home every summer, and the wonderful staff certainly makes us feel that way. The service is impeccable, and staff make a real effort to take care of every detail. The food is particularly impressive, even by Italian standards. The variety and quality of the buffet makes us look forward to every meal. Children love the shows and mini club every evening, walking around the piazzeta, and of course the Italian gelato. But the highlight of course is the beach- which is the best in the world. Crystalline water and perfect and friendly service. If you are considering a summer holiday in Italy then look no further. Chia Laguna is a jewel in Sardinia.
