Ternhill Farm House - 5 Star Guest Accommodation with Optional Award Winning Breakfast

Just an overnight stay whilst in transit to meeting up with friends. We wanted somewhere more interesting than a travel lodge. Ternhill was certainly that a wonderful building with period details. The bedroom was "Shrewsbury" again I chose it because the bathroom included a bath probably the longest tub I have ever seen. Every little detail had been thought through. Fridge with fresh milk and what seemed to be home made small ginger biscuits, good quality toiletries,even the two comfortable chairs in a little seating area near the TV. At the back of the building is a private car park.No time for breakfast unfortunately the choices were exceptional. This is truly a find if are in the area.

We stayed for a night in Feb 2024. Joanne and Michael met us arrival, explained everything. The b&b is an old farmhouse with all the authentic features. The bedroom was large with comfortable bed, the lovely cookies, teas, coffee the nice little touches everywhere. The place is so welcoming unlike the big hotels. Micheal cooks lovely breakfasts with great choice, all freshly made and cooked to order. We would recommend this place to everyone who like personal service and friendly faces. I am sure we will be back on our future visits to Market Drayton.

Comfortable king bed, first class breakfast, honesty bar is a great idea! Fresh milk in the fridge for coffee rather than plastic cartons. Very well thought through B&B Excellent value for money Well located for Whitchurch, Newport and the quaint villages and pubs around.

The farm house had plenty of parking out of view and was near to the reception, with a warm welcome and tour of the facilities. There was a lounge and honesty bar with reasonable prices. My room was on the second floor and was spacious and well equipped with a desk, mirror, lamp, 2 comfy chairs, a TV, trouser press, alarm clock, plenty of storage in the way of hanging space and drawers. Free Wi-Fi was available and a decent speed. The en-suite was clean and had plenty of complementary toiletries. There was a large mirror with lights and a shower over bath. Plenty of hot water was available and there was a large bath towel which was lovely and soft. There was tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water and a fridge with fresh milk in a small glass milk bottle. The bed was huge and very comfortable with good quality bedding and pillows. There was a folder with a comprehensive list of restaurants and pubs with full addresses and distances from the farm house. I can highly recommend Oruna Cuisine. The food was excellent and only a 5 minute drive away. If a take away was your preferred choice, they even offered to supply you with plates and cuttlery, as long as you ate it in the lounge. Breakfast was from 7:30am with a good choice, which had to be selected before 9pm the previous evening using a pre printed order form. The breakfast was freshly made and of good quality in a small and homely dining room. As the farm house is next to a busy main road and on a roundabout with a petrol station opposite, it could be quite noisy at times. However, ear plugs were provided on the bedside table, should you require them. I personally had no issues with the noise. I could recommend this place to stay and it was much nicer and spacious than the usual Premier Inn and cheaper with a quality breakfast included. Thank you for your hospitality.

Welcoming hosts, fabulous choice of breakfast, room was very nice and clean. Beds so comfortable and spacious. The little extras like homemade flapjacks and luxury toiletries.state of the art shower.would recommend you visit.

Excellent facilities in a large comfortable double room (Hodnet). The owners have equipped their rooms with all anyone staying could possibly need, and more. The property is tastefully decorated and clean. They offer a great selection of cooked to order breakfasts that are easily among the best found anywhere.

Only stayed one night but the room was lovely and it had everything you could think of and more. The honesty bar was a nice touch and we were lucky enough with the weather to have a drink in the lovely garden. Breakfast was fantastic so we really enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend.

This venue is definitely not 5 star status and I have to question when it was last reviewed. The warm welcome from the gentleman is questionable.We stayed in the Hawstone room while it was bright and flowery the carpet has had a few visible stains, the shower we couldn’t turn it down it was so hot and the bathroom door was so hard to close without banging it. Five star it is not and I wouldn’t stop at this venue again

Turnhill Farm House is a gem. While the ensuite rooms are completely functional they are charming as well. One has the feel of an 18th Century farmhouse with 21st Century comforts. There is a lovely garden for relaxation and a "honesty bar" for libation. Its location is ideal. The management people are warm and helpful with a positive bit of attitude and intelligence. As reported, the breakfast is to die for. I hope to return again and again.
