This is NOT a 4 stars hotel, more like 3 stars! 1. The cleaning service of the hotel was very bad, there was spider web in the corner of the ceiling. The bathroom floor was never mopped during our stay. 2. We requested a calm room, we received a room on the forth floor (#419) that directly faced the fan of the ventilation system of the restaurant located in the lobby. The operation sound of the system made it impossible to open the window due to the blowing sound and the cooking smell coming up. 3. The AC is a different story in this hotel; it was very hot and we couldn't control the temperature inside of the room. It was set on 27 degrees! When we addressed this issue with the receptionist, he explained that the AC system is central and many other customers complained about the same issue, and there's nothing that he can do about it. 4. The bathroom utilities had an EXPIRED SHAVING CREAM that caused us a skin rush. 5. The first day that we arrived, the weather was very bad, it was heavily raining. Upon check-in, the receptionist (Mariam) refused to let us do the check-in before paying the full amount. We went under the rain looking for a place to exchange money. They even gave us a wrong location for an exchange office. Later on, during our stay, we discovered that the receptionist offered free umbrellas to the guests when the weather was bad, while in our case she didn't bother herself to! 6. The mattresses and the pillows were not as comfortable as it should be for a 4 stars hotel. 7. The lobby has always cooking and deep frying smell coming from the restaurant located at the ground floor. 8. The room is always dark even when you turn all the lights on, and the TV has only Georgian and Russian channels. 9. The shower head was leaking water, it was fixed later on by the staff. With every shower the bathroom floor was flooding due to the lack of a glass barrier. The towels were replaced by torn ones several times during our stay. 10. The gym is not located inside of the hotel as advertised on booking. 11. The minibar was empty, and when we checked in we found an open sugar sachet left from the pervious guests.

I booked ' Deluxe King Room' and the first night I realised that I was not sleeping on a single king size mattress as in the middle of the bed it was not flat. In the morning and for the benefit of the doubt, I removed matress cover & bedsheet and I found out that my matress was not single but two twin beds zipped together. Next morning I asked politely reception whether my booking was for deluxe king room and they confirmed that it was indeed. When I showed them a photo evidence with the twin beds the answer was ' Oh you felt it?'. When I asked whether they gave me a twin bed instead of king bed the answer was ' Oh the designer made it like this for convenience'. Obviously I did not buy what reception answered to me as an excuse and I was deeply disappointed. I felt mislead also because while I was walking in the corridor I glimpsed into the room next to mine - the door was open and cleaning lady was in. The room was much bigger than mine ( my deluxe room was 23 m2 but i doubt it) and I'm pretty sure that the bed was not two matresses zipped together. In a addition to my story I will agree with b) carpet is full of stains/dirty which is unacceptable for a new hotel c ) reception is not really welcoming for a 5 star hotel ( as advertised) d) There is no Smeg fridge as shown in the booking pictures. I was expecting much better treatment, provided I stayed in the hotel for 6 nights!!! 2 Stars for the positive attitude of breakfast room staff and for its convenient location. Next time in Tbilisi somewhere nicer and friendlier!

Located in the ancient city, 5 minutes walk to Liberty Square, the hotel design is very Eastern European style, the materials are exquisite, the room is small but very comfortable, the breakfast choice is not much but the taste is very good, especially the omelet, it should be the best hotel omelet I have ever eaten!
Hotel City

Hotel City. We stayed here only for 1 night on our way back to dubai. We ended up on the 5th floor, just outside the room is a beautiful terrace that overlooks the city with chairs and couches and even a phone incase tou need to order a drink and enjoy the sunset. We stayed in this hotel back in 2016 for 3 nights, it was good back then but they recently had a make over, its much more modern and neat now. They've really stepped it up. Also the bathrooms are absolutely gorgeous with a shower any home owner will dream of. The location is perfect, as its quiet and just off one of the main roads which means easy walking access to freedom Square and other parts of the old town, super markets and wine shops. Also as a courtesy note on the feedback. They usually serve breakfast on weekends at 8h30 only and we had to leave at 7h30 to catch our flight, they made special arrangements for us to have breakfast at 7am.....we really appreciated that. Courtyard Tbilisi

Our stay in the Courtyard by Marriott was lovely. The bar in the lobby is a wonderful place for a pre dinner cocktail or a quick coffee before heading out. The location is good though staying near the river was where we were happiest. There are many lovely restaurants near by but avoid the 1000 nights restaurants that boasts live music and dancing but never arrives. There are a few 24 hour thai massage places in the area that should also be avoided. Stick to the massage places that aren't 24 hours! The hot tub by the hotel pool wasn't working while we were there so if this is a drawing point, double check. The sulphur baths are somewhat near by and rather affordable.
Castle in Old Town

The hotel is located in the old centre of the city, behind Freedom Square. Access is via uneven steps, lots of them, as the taxi can only drop guests at the bottom of Betkemi Rise. Luckily, there is always a strappy lad at the hotel to carry your suitcases upstairs. The long hallway showcases its owner’s penchant for collecting oriental art. There is no reception as such just a couple of chairs at the top of the entrance stairs. Our room, Burma, on the same floor, was huge. Interestingly both the toilet and walk-in shower were an integral part of the room, at either end, with wash basins in between. There was a huge and comfortable bed, spacious wardrobe, fridge and even a microwave. Bathrobes and slippers were provided and there was safe box too. As the whole building nestles to the steep rock there are steps everywhere. Plenty of tables scattered all over at different levels and with great views over the city. There is even an infinity pool near the top of the whole complex. Breakfast was pretty good with local produce served, breads, cheese, jams, cakes and plenty of fruit.

So this is a nice hotel, great location and the rooms are clean and comfortable, the service however really lets it’s down the staff weren’t particularly welcoming, Both mornings we went down for breakfast we barely got a hello, no ‘please take a seat’, or ‘help your self’ the staff didn’t even ask for our room number, they carried on their conversation and left us to figure out the food and how to get coffee and drinks, they seemed pretty put out when we asked for some assistance, the place did the job for a two night stay but probably wouldn’t return.
Citadines City Centre Tbilisi - Europe

This, to us, is THE best place to stay at in Tbilisi based on its reasonable price, standard of the rooms and location. It is very close to Freedom Square, and the hotel is hidden from the main busy square behind an alley. You will get a good night sleep without any noise disturbance due to its unique location in the midst of the city. The staff who attended to us, Kato, was very informative, efficient, helpful and polite. We are a group of 6 friends who had booked 3 ”apartment-rooms”. All of us were very happy with the condition of our rooms and the provided amenities. The rooms are like studio apartments, which come complete with kitchenettes, but we didn't use any of the provided utilities as we stayed only for 1 night. They were sparkling clean, though, and very spacious. We were able to store our luggage at their storage before check-in and after check-out, and the security for this facility was very tight and strict. We have no hesitation in recommending this amazing place to others visiting the city, and we will definitely be staying there again when we return for another visit!
