Picked the Knap given it's good reviews and the people do seem to have been happy there but a few basic problems in our experience.Tarbert is a lovely place to visit with a picturesque harbour and nice walk out to a point with beautiful views of Loch Fyne. We ate at a very good fish restaurant.-the Starfish. The Knap is immaculate from a cleanliness point of view but our room was small and the guest house is situated on a very busy road .We like to sleep with an open window but that was just not possible due to the traffic noise.Breakfast ,in our opinion is not ideal being served on a tray to the door of the room between 730 & 830.It has not to be eaten in bed but on shelving on the wall in the dormer window, also having got back late from a wedding the night before we were wakened early by the delivery of breakfast to the adjoining room
