My mom and I stayed here for 5D4N, and we have nothing but good things to say about this hotel.
First, the location is excellent. It is just a few minutes away on foot from several bus and train stations—specifically Ximen, NTU Hospital, and Taipei Main Station. There are also convenience stores nearby, such as Family Mart, 7-Eleven, and Watsons. We also really liked that the area is less crowded and much quieter than Ximending.
Second, the room itself was great. Even though our window had a "wall/cement view," we still had a very pleasant stay. The room was spacious enough for us to open our 2 large luggage. The air conditioning worked fine, the bed was ample, the bathroom was clean, and the Japanese-style toilet was very easy to use. One tiny detail that could be improved is the lighting; it was a bit dim, though it didn’t heavily affect our overall stay.
Lastly, the hotel staff was nice and accommodating. A lovely staff member, Ms. Cindy, helped us figure out how to use the TV and air conditioning when we had a hard time navigating them since the instructions were written in Chinese characters. We also requested housekeeping before heading out one day and returned to a freshly made-up bed. The free snacks and beverages were a wonderful touch, too. My mother and I especially loved the coffee, tea, and seaweed biscuits.
Overall, I highly recommend this accommodation for anyone planning a trip to Taipei.
