Hotels with Pools in La Crosse

We stayed here one Monday night in late April, basically passing passing through. The area appears to be the cultural center and felt very empty with most dining places closed Mon & Tues (not a bad thing, just a bit eerie). The approximately half riverwalk & garden area north of the hotel was interesting & well worth 30-40 minutes of time. Saw several chubby woodchucks along the way! The hotel remo was very classy, everything exceptionally clean, classy, and new; staff very friendly. Our room and beds were comfortable & quiet, likewise the pool and fitness room. The only downside we encountered is that there was no place within several blocks to get dinner or breakfast aside from the hotel ”Bistro” on the 1st floor. It offers tables with waterview as well as some interesting comfy looking ”privacy” booths. Their menu was quite limited and on the ”light” side while the prices were relatively reasonable for a ”captive” eatery and we were able to get what we needed. I suspect is probably not an issue during peak season & weekends. We would stay here again if in La Crosse.

Jen and her team provided exceptional service for our wedding weekend. Leading up to the weekend, Jen was responsive to changes, kind, and willing to help however she could. The bridal suite was spacious, had beautiful views of the river, and worked wonderfully for getting bridal hair and makeup done the day of the wedding. We hosted an outdoor bonfire gathering as guests came in the night before the wedding, and the team at the Radisson was friendly and attentive to our guests' needs. The morning after, it was a great location for guests to grab coffee and hang out before leaving for the weekend. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel for wedding blocks, as it is in an ideal location with several gorgeous wedding venues nearby, has a phenomenal staff team, and is all-around a wonderful hotel environment. Picked this hotel for the awesome looking pool. When we walked by and saw of filthy the pool was we never even used it. Very disappointed. The bathtub had a no slip mat glued to the base and was just as dirty as the pool was. The free breakfast was sad. They give you one prepackaged microwave sandwich. Some yogurt, cereal, muffin and bread.

Hotel service has been very enthusiastic. The location belongs to the city center. It is convenient to eat around. Parking is also easy. Breakfast and yogurt fruit and coffee is very rich. The facilities are relatively new. There is gym. Very clean. Traveling has been living.

My wife and I recently vacationed in Wisconsin, our first trip since Covid seems to be under control. We were very disappointed in the decline of multiple budget motel chains we used. The franchise owners are struggling to recover financially, and this has resulted in substandard building maintenance and staffing. My rating is for this property in particular. The room looked like it hadn't been dusted or vacuumed in several days, so we dusted off the lamps and wore foot coverings, even during the night. (0 stars) The fan for the air conditioner was very noisy, so during the night we alternated between having it keep us cool and awake, or getting up a couple of times to turn it off so we could sleep but get too warm. The bathroom fan was also noisy and made a throbbing sound in the room during the entire length of a shower. The steam took a long time to clear, so I don't think the fan actually worked. (0 stars) The bedding and pillows were very comfortable, and there were no noisy neighbors in the rooms, hallways or outside. We got a good night's rest. (1 star) The breakfast area was clean and well stocked, and had the variety you would normally expect for a free breakfast. (1 star) The front desk staff was friendly during both checkin and checkout. They apologized for the room not being as good as we had expected. (1 star) Based on these factors, my overall rating is 3 stars. I suspect that only certain rooms are kept up, and when occupancy goes up, some of the substandard rooms are made available without first being properly readied. We had chosen Country Inn because of an exceptional stay in Holland Michigan ten years ago. This property certainly wasn't what we had expected for the price we paid for the room.
