I booked one night only in Ibis Stuttgart Centrum for the Christmas market. I chose this for the location , quite easy to reach by walking and also by metro. Hotel is situated in Marienplatz , I walked to the hotel in about 20 minutes from central station which is well connected with S2 to and from Stuttgart Airport ( single ticket costs 2,90 euro ). The hotel is ok , but not refurbished as most of them now are , I needed only for one night , so didn't matter. Staff speak English as well and were fine , I did not have breakfast , they do only snack/bar Panini 24/7, no restaurant on site. Nearby the hotel you can find a supermarket , and other shops to buy food; also down the road , a short walk, you have the shopping avenue . The room was facing a back yard and it was very silent and calm.

A bit out of the way, but with good transport links to the train station, to the sights. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood with good restaurants. The reception is very friendly and uncomplicated. The rooms are rather small, very clean and very quiet. The breakfast is good, the breakfast room a bit dreary. All in all highly recommended.

The reception team at Hotel Gloria when we had an issue with our previously booked hotel. We turned up - there was no one to let us in, and no response to calls! Thank-fully the receptionist at Hotel Gloria was amazing and really helped us out of a difficult situation on Good Friday evening. The service is ok and the breakfast is rich. But the guest room has to get off the elevator, go through a long passage, and then get on the elevator, which is very troublesome with luggage. In addition, the guest room is long and narrow, so there is a lot of walking from the front desk to the room. Okay, here comes the point. I don’t know what other guests are like, but I was indeed assigned the cemetery view room mentioned in the review. When I opened the curtains, I was frightened.

Location: well located, near to shops, malls, restaurants, bars… vibrant area. Room: we had the urban option, spacious, clean, modern, comfortable bed, great shower, sufficient amenities. Front desk service was very helpful. Parking below the hotel was clean, secure and spacious. We didn’t take the breakfast but lots of people were there and it looked good. Will definitely recommend EmiLu hotel to friends and family.

Reception person was nice enough. Spoke to the ”Chef” a day or so prior to check-in - requested and was given a front facing, lower floor room. Upon check-in given a 3rd room floor with NO couch (where the couch should be) and no chair. Back to reception; given a 5th floor room with SAME result; back to reception. Given a 6th floor room which at least had a chair where the couch should have been - I'll stay here buuuuut mini fridge inop as was the Thermostat. Bathroom water pressure was dismal with no condiments; good I always bring my own. BTW exiting the elevator on the 6th floor: lights were out in the hallway and as I always check the stairway, also dark, told reception who called maintenance who solved the problem.

Different. Very relaxing ambience, not brightly lit. The young staff are all very pleasant and can speak to you with a warming smile. Lots of seating in foyer and if you can play the guitar there’s a couple there for residents. The bedroom are different but everything there that is needed. Our first night was very peaceful but on the second night we were awakened @ 1.30 am to the sound of a French couple who stormed into their bedroom next door to us arguing and shouting at each other very loudly. I put up with it unto 1.45 and then thumped the adjoining wall quite loudly when they quietened down a little, for a while. The room has no phone so I couldn’t ring down to inform them. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable . We didn’t have any food so can’t comment on that. Lovely wee spot and very central.
