A cheeky wee break away for Easter. This is a well run hotel with a decent bar and absolutely gorgeous food. A home from home experience, relaxed and a warm welcome. Would recommend without any reservation... ( Er You might need to make a reservation though.... ;-) )

I am very pleased that we chose to stay here for a couple of days. We stayed in room 3, a large, very comfortable room with a loch view, the bathroom was also large offering the choice of bath or shower. Breakfast was cooked to order and could not be faulted, with an extensive choice. Evening meals were also very good. I happily recommend staying at The Creggans Inn.

A bit out the way but well worth it. Very friendly hotel our room was lovely a Laura Ashley style with shower and bath. Great views of the loch. Even when relaxing in your bath. Nice comfy bed. Food was great. Had a fantastic Irish Coffee. Staff were brilliant very helpful. It was a Christmas present my daughter and her husband got us. Cant thank them enough for this great stay. Looking for to going back. Scotland is just beautiful.

Went for a meal having read excellent reviews/ sadly disappointed- the starters were ok - I had goats cheese and figs - hubbie had pigeon breast - not bad at all - I ordered fish gratin and he ordered lamb which was pleasant enough - fish gratin however was raw in the middle and Lukewarm- vegetables accompaniment were over- cooked and under seasoned - we didn’t risk a dessert- the staff were apologetic but it wasn’t really up to expectations 😔

Just enjoyed another short break at this consistently excellent hotel. The staff here work as a first class team. They all want the best for the hotel and their guests. Nothing is too much trouble. The menu continues to be interesting, seasonal , makes good use of local produce and, despite rising costs, is still reasonably priced. With such friendly staff, enjoyable food, comfortable clean rooms and fabulous views this hotel is one I can definitely recommend.

This evening, my wife and I called in for a steak each. Both of us were very disappointed. Not cheap, either. To start, they served the wrong lager we asked for Tennents but they gave us Stella. The steak was more fat than meat. There were 2 tiny onion rings and what I can only describe as excrement on top of the fats, I mean steaks. My wife said it was haggis with red onion jam. But the texture and taste were of fatty pate. The few chips that came with the "meal" still had skins on. They couldn't even be bothered to peel the spuds. The green peppercorn sauce was £2.95 for just over a thimble full. Avoid the place. It's a pity as the pub and setting have great potential. BTW £30 for each "fat". £73.45 for everything 2 poor & meals & 2 drinks (1 being the wrong drink).

It's so lovely to be back .it's been too long .we love this little jewel of a hotel. From the time we arrived to the time we left ,staff and management were fantastic. Our room with Loch View was excellent and quaint, cosy, and comfortable. Dinner was excellent, tasted wonderful, and the presentation was great . I try to have food I don't usually have at home, I chose the Pigeon breast for starters and the haunch of venison for mains ,wifes choice of veg broth and teriyaki salmon noodles .all of it was lovely and great to see and enjoy fresh vegetables cooked to perfection. I finished with apple and gooseberry crumble which just lovely. Breakfast next morning was just as lovely, especially my Scottish breakfast. Thanks to all the staff for a fantastic stay.we will be back

Very disappointing and not how we remember creggans. Staff were unattentive, not once asked how our meal was (mussels over salted, ribeye £30 was a shocking cut to the point it was 50% unedible. Room was unclean and shabby to be polite (see images!) Dusty, cobwebs, broken bed, stained chair. To charge 190 pounds per night for that room is disgusting! Also at breakfast, stornoway blackpudding is advertised on the menu, that was not stornoway blackpudding, yuk! On departure receptionist, who was full of the cold, couldnt muster up the enegry to ask how our stay was, so have decided to leave the review as we are angry to have wasted our 1st wedding anniversay in such a let down of a hotel. Terrible staff, except a blonde waitress who was lovely mannered.
